Let's be careful about 'rulez'. While we who hang out at uF have through experience found some practices that work well in these kinds of games, we don't control the game. For all we know the PMs want to do something different, or are simply prepared to deal with whatever the players may throw at them. (Our only hard and fast rule is that uF is OOG. Characters may not come here. PMs may not manipulate things directly here, although we're happy to talk to them afterwards or when they're not running a game. They can refer other players here or other discussion forums, slightly damaging that curtain, but facilitating the game.)

If the PMs offer an in-game forum, they have to be prepared to deal with people who play it like a game (as if this is all real) AND those who just want to win a prize and ignore character development and plot. If the PMs need their characters not to know something, they can fix it themselves or simply ignore information they don't want their characters to have. I, like redhatty, would not post OOG info on an in-game forum, but that's just us talkin'. Not a rule anyone can enforce.

So enough apologizing. It's really OK. If it wasn't you it would be someone else. Just suggesting some things that might give a different gameplay experience....
