You would be correct skullpanda ...

Plus in the body of the latest page it is mentioned that ....
Quote:
"Like I said, he and I only met a short time ago ourselves. Those from the Chessboard are on our side, though, so I'm sure he's here to help... in his own, cryptic way."

I love the reference, there.
Good story. Can't wait for another puzzle.

Well now we do have a cryptic Bishop saying some very odd stuff!

I think we ought to be focusing more on what the bishop said. As stated in the quote from Jack, the bishop is "cryptic".

Here's the quote from the bishop.

"Games and myth re-emerge too soon every time. Sharp steel eventually rusts, but righteousness can excel even when hope is lost. A gazer of stars can more easily navigate a maze roundly."

Any ideas?

I'm lost on that last line, it sounds to me like it is there for a reason...

I've tried word counting, letter count, first letter, last letter, anagrams. There are some interesting crypto grams (first letters of last sentence comes out "encoragers"), but nothing that makes sense.

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but it appears to me that in Wonderland there is a war going on.

The sides appear to be Cards and chess pieces on one side, with "humans" and animals on the other.

A question I would have about a "war" in wonderland is whether the war is what caused Alice to leave, or if Alice leaving was the cause of the war...

[Update] Aug. 30th

Update with puzzley goodness. Looks like 26 unique symbols, I'm guessing some sort of substitution with maybe another step thrown in.

Anagrams and substitution, me thinks.

Was the FAQ there before? The one that says that the game will cost 25$?

Assuming the 26 symbols at the bottom corrospond to the alphabet, here's the partially decoded solution. I think bishop is refering via anagramming the quoted stuff to a Vigenere cifer with the passphrase in the second quote that needs to be applied to this.

ALZJO ZALMY EREJZ LLKMF
CGNUG KVCYI OIPWK UXYIW
BMBXD DNSZV VLXDE WOEGT
VGHOX LRENT HMYIP WOYEP
EJCCD MEWBZ SPALW OFMSO
SPATS RGZXN ELNXS TVWRG
ALTWW LZEYS SFWTA AWWRC
XYTIM CBBPS IZGCH FWTEZ
SABAG KMCZX ZCMOH RVORK
LMNMP HBZSL LLIIC MUJTS
MFHGA HXSEU PPWQM SPYXA
SYRCH XPPXG FGTSJ KRWVY
LLIQH BCVYN NCFXZ LWFRR
KSEJD KFMYI CAHVH UXALJ
ZQPIP SHVYF SQCYU NFHBE
OXXPX PHCYI EWMFO YBJIO
PPLWP CKWKV ESFAC MTIXD
ZWOCI HVANR OICEC RNYBU
KSAWZ QLNTW OQRVY POFLV
TLQDZ OXPRP OSJLL VIABI
XYCOO MUATI PECEX PRBOP
TEEXW FOQTA IWNBH HOGMK
GSHYX DIQDS YSZGI FIVVP
AJPEA DTGUV SLJKR ROINX
XZSEF HCXEG TTLGI FCVWI
YPIDL IWIPS HEBCE HSKPK
SIJWW AIBVO UGABI

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

I may (probably) have messed up a few letters here and there. Even if so it should still be obvious when you have the right passphrase. Then the mistakes will be easy to spot and correct.

EDIT: Turns out "price given here" is also just an anagram for Vigenére Cifer so we just need the passphrase.

EDIT2: Corrected translation errors.

Using the 26 symbols across the bottom of the joker cipher, in alphabetical order I've substituted the symbols with letters. Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes.

Code:

ALZJO   ZALMY   EREJZ   LLKMF
CGNUG   KVCYI   OIPWK   UXYIW
BMBXD   DNSZV   VLXDE   WOEGT
VGHOX   LRENT   HMYIP   WOYEP
EJCCD   MEWBZ   SPALW   OFMSO
SPATS   RGZXN   ELNXS   TVWRG
ALTWW   LZEYS   SFWTA   AWWRC
XYTIM   CBBPS   IZGCH   FWTEZ
SABAG   KMCZX   ZCMOH   RVORK
LMNMP   HBZSL   LLIIC   MUJTS
MFHGA   HXSEU   PPWQM   SPYXA
SYRCH   XPPXG   FGTSJ   KRWVY
LLIQH   BCVYN   NCFXZ   LWFRR
KSEJD   KFMYI   CAHVH   UXALJ
ZQPIP   SHVYF   SQCYU   NFHBE
OXXPX   PHCYI   EWMFO   YBJIO
PPLWP   CKWKV   ESFAC   MTIXD
ZWOCI   HVANR   OICEC   RNYBU
KSAWZ   QLNTW   OQRVY   POFLV
TLQDZ   OXPRP   OSJLL   VIABI
XYCOO   MUATI   PECEX   PRBOP
TEEXW   FOQTA   IWNBH   HOGMK
GSHYX   DIQDS   YSZGI   FIVVP
AJPEA   DTGUV   SLJKR   ROINX
XZSEF   HCXEG   TTLGI   FCVWI
YPIDL   IWIPS   HEBCE   HSKPK
SIJWW   AIBVO   UGABI

*edited to fix three mistakes; 1st row - 4th column changed to LLKMF, 2nd row - 2nd column changed to KVCYI, 6th row - 3rd column changed to ELNXS.

The passphrase was "help is on the way"

here's the decrypted letter (I added and removed spaces and punctuation to make it easier to read)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
THOUGH MY TRAVELS HAVE NOT UNCOVERED THE WHERE ABOUTS OF ALICE, THEY HAVE NOT BEEN IN VAIN. THE ALLIANCE WITH THE CHESS FOLK HAS BEEN STRENGTHENED. THE PAWNS AND KNIGHTS ARE QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE WHEN IT COMES TO NEW TECHNOLOGIES. THEY SEEM CONFIDENT THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE A PORTAL FOR YOU. A WAY TO JOURNEY TO WONDERLAND. MY INTUITION TELLS ME THAT IF YOU CAN JUST MAKE IT THERE THEN ALICES PRESENCE WILL BECOME MORE APPARENT. HER PUZZLING WAYS MAY LEAD YOU TO HER. I WILL BE IN TOUCH AGAIN VERY SOON WITH MORE INFORMATION: A DATE AND ADDRESS FOR THIS WONDROUS PORTAL. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CIPHER, MAYBE IM PARANOID BUT I FEEL THAT RIVALS MIGHT BE IN PURSUIT. XX
