For reference, the page that links to the Poughkeepsie Tapes website (the name from the Youtube trailhead) is James Foley (Water Street Butcher) on scarypsychos.com. Each of the killers seem to be real, but given the video is only linked to Foley. Doing a bit of googling around, "James Foley" only seems to be referencing a director, with no seemingly legitimate reference to a serial killer... Most of the sites from scarypsychos.com seems to be made up, including other real serial killers to look real (including linking to legitimate sites for the others as well). but, there are google references to a movie called "The Poughkeepsie Tapes" - so methinks this is a viral ad for the movie (releasing Feb 22/08 wide, but already aired at a film festival back in April this year).

the video (including the youtube one), posted to numerous video sites, seems to have been around for some time (well, mostly around 4 months, since April, so it's likely they were posted intending to spread the word for the movie's appearance at the festival)

If nothing new's come about since then, then I'm thinking nothing will... at least not until closer to its wider release next year.

Something tells me that The Poughkeepsie Tapes website is either the official movie page, or the beginning of this ARG... assuming (and hoping) that it is.
