He was just showing a scenario discussed before on why it would be bad to phone someone. While it may be negative, I doubt anyone here who is mature is going to recomend someone to call random numbers.

It was immature for you to attack him for just showing a what can happen if you do such things. While he was no better in terms of positive contribution, it doesn't give you the right to flame him, neverless call him a fucktard. Like him, I have snapped on some threads and flamed people who cannot be bothered to look at other threads or use a search button.

This is one of the most spammed forums ever, surely you can understand.

I am not looking for an argument, but if you want one, keep it to PM.

The chances of a 7 digit number being in every area code is huge. That's why a 7 digit phone number is not enough to go on.
A little explanation of how phone numbers evolved:
The last 4 numbers are called the suffix. To the phone system this is what is basically YOUR number.
The next 3 numbers are the prefix. This used to be totally specific to a physical area, but due to number demands they ended up needing to overlap them. When a prefix WAS geographically exclusive you didn't have to use it to call someone else in your prefix, you just used the suffix.
Of course the next 3 numbers we are now familiar with are the area code. It's just a larger concept of the prefix, and as with the prefix they now can overlap in an area - also why you now have to use 10 digit dialing in many areas.
If you manage to find a 10 digit phone number, that's more likely a clue.
