SO what do we think melody's place in all this is? Was she just playing along? 'Cause if the prof was just an actor, would there still be a car for her to find in a field of pot? Or if the prof was based on a real person, would there still be a car to find?

I just looked at the source for the email, and it seems that there are actually two messages, one for those who strip HTML from their e-mails and one for those who don't. The messages are identical, or at any rate I haven't noticed any difference, but why bother? Why not just send the text version? The same is true for Krystal's e-mail.

I think most mail servers build messages in this way nowadays. If your mail service is configured to HTML messages by default and you send a mail out, there is always another "copy" for those servers that dont accept HTML messages.

A bit of experimenting with my e-mail shows you're right. So ignore my earlier post. Oh, by the way, the Nash Carey and Krystal White e-mails both originate in Germany.
