And i thought i spent to much on perplex city then i saw this On a recurring conversation of do we spend to much money on our obsession, we now have an answer. No
We were watching Dragons den tonight a show where 5 multimillionaire investors look for companies ideas to invest in with their own money and one of the people was advocating the worlds hardest puzzle that you solve to find a key that could unlock a pyramid filled with money (£500). Sounds good/interesting until you hear the price for part one of the seven part puzzle is £99 . see link to firebox who stock it http://www.firebox.com/product/1609?src_t=hfp
How many packs of cards would that buy? answer Many Lots

You mean that thing that Ixalon and Bit1313 and possibly a couple of other people on here have cracked?
And which I CAN'T RUDDY WELL OPEN?
So how did they do on Dragon's Den? Did they get any funding?

In a word no. they where offered by the dragons £2,000,000 for 50% of the company (witch I think is good offer) and the Isis people turned it down.
and one of asked dragons asked what to stop people put the answer up on the internet.

I saw these things on Firebox recently. They look very pretty! I wouldn't fork out the cash to buy one, although I've put one on my wishlist in case any of my friends feel like buying me a pressie at any point! I suspect I wouldn't get very far with it, and it would just end up as an expensive paperweight.

Exactly, I would love one but £99 is too much for me.

Pretty to look at, fun to play, but once you figure it out... $#!&*$#@! £99 for THIS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Let's put it this way, it's kinda like telling you that the race is 10 laps around the track and getting 100 people pointed north on the track and having the starting gun fire. Then 95 of you run north and 5 run backwards the whole way going south. The 5 that ran south cross the finish line and win and the other 95 are left scratching their heads. Then you go to the judges and say "But But But... you put us facing north." Ahhhh... but we never told you that you had to run that way!
It really is a big red herring. If someone tells you it's hard, you will think that it is hard and that makes it hard.
BUT - I will probably buy the next one too!

yes it was, £2,000,000 is a type-o of one zero as it was only £200k they asked for.
there are also 4 errors in spelling/gammer in. "and one of asked dragons asked what to stop people put the answer up on the internet."

The law of internet hubris has ensured that your reply contains four new spelling/grammar errors (doesn't start with a capital letter, "gammer" instead of "grammar", "... in." instead of "... in:", and no closing full stop).
