Kafkamęsto You have been warned. You'll find out of what. abc.net's "GameOn" initiative called for ten production companies to produce ten flash games to draw interest to Australia's gaming industry.
One of the games was slightly different from the others , and has been known to cause severe damage to the gamer's perceptions of reality.
Care to see how far you can get?

GameOn is also the same event that prompted Transience to produce Chasm , which went on to win the Best Game award in San Francisco's 2004 Flash Forward Festival.

In case you want to figure it out yourself, here it is in spoiler quotes:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You need the briefcase to carry stuff around in. It's by the desk.
Now I can't figure out how to do anything else.[/spoiler]

Well, when you are first in your room, you can click on a window, and you see two men in suits looking up at you, if you click on them they will come up to your door and knock. When they knowck they say you have committed a crime and should see the magistrate in the castle. after you leave your apartment, you see them in from of you again and this time when you click on them your character says this is nonsense, I should contact the Advocate, and im guessing you can make a choice of who you contact. Somehow Im in the advocates room but some lady says he doesnt come cheap and thats how far i am as of now.

I've gotten a bit past Vman and the Advocate wants a book to read it seems. None of the books in his library are the correct one. This game is really confusing as to what the point is and what you're supposed to be doing. I've also notice its easy to give away items or just drop them and lose them forever. I hope that doesn't screw you over in the long run.
Edit : yes, you can definitely screw up and there is no recovering from some mistakes it seems other than starting over entirely.
Edit 2: if you drop something before handing it off to the correct person/place/event it looks as if it goes back to the place that you originally found it.

I suggest you give NOTHING to the guard at the palace, to add to the not coming back thing. He'll take whatever you give him and won't give it back.

Also, some events never seem to repeat. Its one shot and you're done.
For example :
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you grab the mail out of your bedside table and place it in box #6 downstairs before you hang up the phone, you get an invitation to go to visit with the lady who lives in that apartment. When you go in there, there are only two items you need, the letter in the bedside table and the fake arm under the bed. Touching any of the underwear that's lying about gets you kicked out immediately. If you go in with your briefcase too full, you can't empty it and come back later to fill it
Wasn't it sort of universally decided after King's Quest I that this kind of gameplay isn't challenging, its just bad game design? I mean, I love the artwork, but trying to navigate the streets and just figuring out what's going on is maddening.
Edit : I found a walk through for this game. Apparently its about 2 years old. There are multiple ends, but it doesn't seem like many of them are very happy.
