Hello gals and gents,

Despite my belief that this whole 1-18-08 thing just isn't a game, I have to confess that it's taken up a small corner of my mind.
Just when I had put it out of my mind (using stumbleUpon... a great way to zone out) I stumbled across this:

Now, its been getting very, very mild attention on the internet, and the good sign is that the publicity seems to have been randomly generated: its being posted to sites like dugg or collegehumor by people who have been around for years.

I'm sure I know what you're thinking. It's what I'm thinking. Oh, for the love of God, not another gamejack.

The interesting thing about this site, though, is that it does pretty much nothing-- no links, no roars, just calm.
The bad news about that is: if it's related, it's currently a dead end (yay!)
The good news is: it doesn't fail my litmus test for gamejacks-- no one is hyping the site, linking it to in-game sites, whining for attention, etc. IF it has anything to do with the game, the person who made it doesn't care if you find it or not. That's good news.


I know we're all grasping for straws, here, and there doesn't seem to be much to go on here.
But at the very least, let me assure you that it is a very pleasant page to just zone out at Wink

EDIT/PS: this guy
claims that the sunlight changes direction over the course of a day, meaning its either a more complex flash file than it seems, or some representation of an actual underwater camera.

 		So far, with the web sites that we have found (including the mySpace pages), we have known from the start that they are related. This doesn't look related at all. Keep looking, though! Smile

guys, do you know how many websites there are online at any give time? just because you find a strange site doesnt mean its part of an ARG, much less this one...something has to lead to the clues. we have to be given something in order to find anything. otherwise we are just randomly digging through the interwebs which is like looking for a needle in a stack of needles. i mean...by this logic www.zombo.com is must be a clue!!!

i dont mean to sound mean. just been a long day.

i decompiled the flash file and saw nothing to support that.. there's no action script of any kind, just a sound clip and ocean video...

 		No offence but you're saying this could be a website because it hasn't been proven otherwise.

The same can be said about any website unrelated to the game.

I fail to see how this relates to 1-18-08.

 		alright i'll give you that, however, i think its just a looping page of an underwater shot of the sun, can an [OOG] be added to the title?

 		 It's Weird..
...Maybe it's just me, but the "refreshmyweb" site seems rather claustrophobic, the camera never breaking above the surface of the waves, and even the 'whooshing' sound of the water seems too urgent, more so than normal (could also be I don't care for very deep waters, but that's another story altogether)..! Rolling Eyes ...
