First of all, Breathe.

Secondly, you are up to speed. We're thinking Julian Barnesworth is a man though.

Thirdly, go back, um....10 pages or so, and start reading, and you'll be to the same point we are.

Fourth, Breathe.

Very Happy Wink Very Happy

WOW!

Grat job, aprilpapril...I definitely agree that we're working with the Islamic calendar here. I'm getting # very close to his "Appointments" as well.

Also, there are actual events JB listed in the blog, so I'll look those up today and see if I get any dates we can use to double-check.

I'll let you all know asap.

Appointments

Well, I'm guessing the blog is pure fiction. I'm dissappointed.

The Fete du Jasmin in Grasse took place this year from Aug 3-5...but...

I'm trying to figure out which football/ soccer team he's rooting for. I assumed it was Portsmouth because he mentions Campbell being in "prime form". Sol Campbell is a fairly well know football star who is #23 for Portsmouth...but they aren't in the same league as Weston-Super-Mare...and don't play eachother.

So then, I took a look at the Bath team. They're in the same league as Weston-Super-Mare, but played them on 8/27 of this year...on a Monday (a bank holiday over there). They did beat them, but I can't find a Campbell on either team, and he mentions his tickets were for the game on "Saturday this coming week end".

Maybe I'm off. I'm going to dig a little deeper...anyone else giving it a try?

I know I'm off on a tangent here, but I really want to have all of this figured out...I thought it might give us a good way to double-check the dates against the Islamic calendar...

Watch this not make a difference in the world! Ha!

humm?

ok, on the madams myspace she has paprika, so in good old wikipedia, through looking up perfume it states ...

"In ancient times people used herbs and spices, like almond, coriander, myrtle, conifer resin, bergamot, but not flowers."

I know paprika isn't listed, but I think thats why she has it listed. Now Also stated there is

"By the 18th century, aromatic plants were being grown in the Grasse region of France to provide the growing perfume industry with raw materials. Even today, France remains the centre of the European perfume design and trade"

All the places we keep coming across have a significant role in Perfume history. I don't know where this really leads to, but I'm sure everything will come together at some point and all make sence. Just a thought.

Errrr, guys? I've got a major head-slapping question here.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Is everyone aware that Julian Barnesworth is the correct answer, or did I just get a first and accidentally steal the credit from all of you who actually did the work?

calendar vs calendar

ok, here is my first daft question of the day-- i just got home from work, where i have no access to a computer, so it took me a few minutes to catch up-- kudos to the person who traced the islamic calendar, first of all; the question is:

if they are both calendars, and we already know the gregorian (westerners') date, then why bother transposing the numbers in parentheses at all???

A question for those who have done the video challenge:

Does yours still say that its incomplete in the profile on the Covet page?

Calendars

We don't know the "Western" date of the posts, Tatiana: they're things like (08.55). That's why we're using the calculators, etc.

Don't worry about asking questions!!! You're not daft!

Western dates

Hi Katygmorris,
I hope you don't mind me jumping in on this subject. But I thought that the western dates were on JB's blog hidden under the time (visible when you hover over them with your cursor)? Why do we need to convert the numbers in parentheses to western dates if we already have them? I have input the other info and longitude and latitude into the chart and got 3-4 constellations like Paulette said a few pages back. I know someone else said they got specific constellations for N & S. My brain HURTS from trying to figure this out. I'm not sure what your talking about when you mention converting the numbers in parentheses? I appreciate any help you can give!!!
Confused
