The overall text of the new message seems to suggest we've missed something from very early on in the game, as those of you who've read the book were saying about one of the magic squares.

Sorry. I meant the poem we got in the email and is being displayed on Chris' LJ and on www.triadgenomics.com/Quiz.html
Mainly the part near the end where it tells us to "Return to the Origin" and the bastardized Yeates quote (Or possible reference to A.I.:Artificial Intelligence).

Those "random" pages are all the pages we have used to play the game to this point MINUS the most recent message this week as I am behind...

The first set are the Site pages for the game itself, the second set is links to the related threads on UF(here) and the third set is the puzzles and clues we recieve and thier sources and solves when I have gotten that far.

Although, I am not the only onw who may edit/add to these pages, it just seems that up to now, I am the only one who has and have tried to keep it organized for easy reading.

Wait..today the wiki looks different.
Last night, someone was advertising for "New Home Repair" and the entire site was in Chinese. If it's related and ya'll did indeed solve it (though I don't see what would be relevant), then that's really impressive Shocked
Otherwise, I'll just consider it as spam.

I don't understans what it is you are trying to say.

This is the Wiki: http://genesiscode.despoiler.org/index.php?title=Main_Page
this is how it always looks, you may want to run your anti-viral software and an adware if this is where you were trying to look and got the home improvement website.

Nice to see you guys have been working on this. I was stuck posting to myself on the other thread... Dunce

Anyway, here's something we might have overlooked, which I just sent to Chris's Livejournal account: the Scorpius puzzle might be a suggestion that Lien Meihui is now in Kyoto. Scorpius is part of China's "Azure Dragon of the East constellation", and the Azure Dragon statue watches over the city of Kyoto, Japan. So, maybe Lien is directing Chris to meet her somewhere in Kyoto? Admittedly a long shot, but not sure what else the constellation puzzle could be referring to.

Agggh, nevermind. It's fairly inconsequential anyway and was OOG spam crap on the wiki under "random page".

Slightly different page at http://www.thegenesiscode.com/

I've been going back over the JunkDNA puzzle back on the TG page:
http://www.triadgenomics.com/junkDNA.html to see if maybe there was something else to do with the 'junk' code between the two messages.

Tried all kinds of decryption methods on it but didn't get anywhere.
The Genetic markers would be the string ACTGTA which I can't get anything else out of other than the obvious markers.

The message that repeats twice, then the 'junk'. The junk is what I've been playing around with. It seems like all the new messages keep indicating we missed something or there is something more - back to the origion etc... so I've been looking there to no avail.

Tried using keyed with 260 from the Magic Square and the missing numbers from the other square 33 39 57 64 no joy.

Here's the junk if anyone else wants to try it out -

all those percent signs make me think of a URL, but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong.

Thought I'd try to reverse engineer some text and see if there was a way to figure out which type of Base64 binary encoding was applied to the text in our Junk_DNA. Below are the results (Using the first paragraph of the Popol Vuh as an input).

Base64(Most common implementation):
Code:
VGhpcyBpcyB0aGUgYmVnaW5uaW5nIG9mIHRoZSBBbmNpZW50IFdvcmQsIGhlcmUgaXMgdGhpcyBw
bGFjZSBjYWxsZWQgUXVpY2hlLiBIZXJlIHdlIHNoYWxsIGluc2NyaWJlLCB3ZSBzaGFsbCBpbXBs
YW50IHRoZSBBbmNpZW50IFdvcmQsIHRoZSBwb3RlbnRpYWwgYW5kIHNvdXJjZSBmb3IgZXZlcnl0
aGluZyBkb25lIGluIHRoZSBjaXRhZGVsIG9mIFF1aWNoZSwgaW4gdGhlIG5hdGlvbiBvZiBRdWlj
aGUgcGVvcGxlLg0KDQo=

UUEncode:

Anyone know of any other MIME or other Base64 types of encodings that might be a possibility?

ETA: Here are all the characters that are missing from the common Base64 set (0-9,A-Z,a-z and 2 bits of punctuation)
Code:
0,1,6,G,H,K,L,O,W,X,b,e,n,q,r,t

Which may mean nothing with such a small piece of cyphertext to sample.

Ok, if I remember right, the Popol Vuh was used in conjunction with the magic square emailed to Dr. Maddison to then retrive the key to decode the junk dna sequence. But it is never said exactly how....

Hi,

This is my first attempt at an ARG (didn't even know they existed until a few hours ago) and I hope you'll forgive if I'm being redundant,
but when I first translated the binary and got the Mu symbol, I thought that perhaps they were hinting in the direction of the lost
continent of Mu: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mu_(lost_continent)

That also seemed to make sense with some of the lines from the email.
"more awaits slumbering beneath" and such.

I've no idea if this is useful information, but I've got my fingers crossed. Smile

And...nice to meet you all.

Excited to be here.

(edited to add a passage from the article:)

Augustus Le Plongeon

"The idea of Mu first appeared in the works of the antiquarian Augustus Le Plongeon (1825–1908), a 19th century traveler and writer who conducted his own investigations of the Maya ruins in Yucatαn. He announced that he had translated the ancient Mayan writings, which supposedly showed that the Maya of Yucatαn were older than the later civilizations of Atlantis and Egypt, and additionally told the story of an even older continent of Mu, which had foundered in a similar fashion to Atlantis, with the survivors founding the Maya civilization"

Considering the identification of the calendar, I think the lost continent theory might be sound.
