The video must have been edited by Palser himself, therefore he knew what was being distributed including the hand sign.. this could be for two reasons in my opinion, one is that he is laying clues for the game to continue ( for some reason ) or that is perhaps his ransom demand?
It has been quite a while since I read about serial criminals, but I seem to recall a certain variety of them (sociopaths, I think?) get a thrill from coming close to being caught. If they do it enough, they slip up and really do get nabbed. Maybe Palser, or whatever name he is currently going by, is acting similarly?

specs on the video Some other possibilities.....
When Krystal's hand went up, my first thought was, she wanted the filming stopped. Maybe the kidnapper thought the same thing?
If it was as dark in the room as the video seems to depict, maybe the kidnapper didn't see the writing on Krystal's palm? (I know...that's a long shot. )
Since he slaps her hand down, I think the message was her idea.
If I was in her situation, that message would show my location. And if it's obscure enough, she might be able to get away with some other explanation for it. But waitaminit, if Palser knows ARGs, he could decipher the message himself, and hightail outta there.
oh, my head hurts.

Could be reaching here, but the symbols (especially the circle with the dot in the center), instantly reminded me of the Zodiac Killer symbols.
I don't have any time to pursue this, but if anyone wants to check it out, ciphers are available here (the July 31, 1969 letters)

Be thankful no one's mentioned Manson.
or Dahmer
or Gacy
or Malvo
and it's scary why I would know those names...

Question: hidden track? In chat, rose mentioned that she "got the feeling from Marcus that we are missing something related to senses...mostly sound"
Could there be a hidden audio track on mypuppy2?

Unfortunately, it only contains a single video stream (320x240, 30 fps), no audio.

I can't see the symbols well. But, Melody mentioned Majong a game that I know uses symbols. Maybe Krystal played too?

Hmmm....VERY true. It very well could be a Mahjongg 3 (of circles or whatever that "suit" is called).
Edited to add this link as an example of the tiles: http://www.mahjongg.com/tileoverview.gif
Edited again to add a link to the symbolic meaning: http://www.mahjongg.com/circles.htm 3 of circles: symbolized by the phoenix. Phoenix, AZ, anyone?

Marcus confirmed it for us in a chat with Rasputin42x69. He says we need to know what they're driving now.
Nice group solve folks!

BriEnigma is wrapping up quite a lot today. Check out his post here
Edit: Now that I know it's supposed to be a mahjong tile of 3 of circles, it's much clearer in the pictures

This was not just me. I simply did a Google search based on Guest's suggestion that it is a mahjongg tile (which I am still kicking myself for not recognizing) and Rasputin's chat with Marcus that they have meaning (I had assumed they had no real meaning--like modern suits of cards or might indirectly connect back to the tarot (again, like modern suits of cards), but the meaning of the three of coins/pentacles is generic enough to not be useful).
