I've got this great idea - it's called "waiting."
Unless you've been putting together the marketing for Resident Evil or working on the media buys at the theater, you probably won't know whether or not there will be a trailer beforehand. Therefore, you just have to wait and find out versus theorizing about it. Here's is my suggestions:
1. Wait and talk to someone who went and saw RE.
2. Wait and see RE.
I'm pretty sure you'll find out one way or the other.
lmao. This made me laugh so much for some reason.
awesome idea by the way. lol
I just loved this response.

...honestly
.......Are you serious? Really think that's going to work? It's paramount and bad robot's brainchild. They don't have to release any information if they don't want to.
If they don't, are you gonna sue them for wasting your time?
Just wait. Be patient and bide your time. January is only a few months away.

Nah, not "Fog 2". It's "The Mist" -- based on Stephen King's novella about a mysterious fog that falls over a town and is full of...well, I won't ruin it with spoilers if you haven't read it. But basically something's out there in the fog, and a bunch of people are trapped in a grocery store by that something.

Trailers from other studios. I am pretty sure they pay for it like ads on TV. Sorry, can't remember where I saw it but it read something to the effect that studios PAY to have their trailers run with big films, huge corporate theater chains etc. PAY per screen like buying ads on TV.

Place your bets... So what's the over/under on when a teaser/trailer will show up? November seems to be the most logical month. At least that's when studios seem to roll out their big upcoming movies (usually over the Thanksgiving holiday).

I'll put the trailer at 5 to 2 for a Thanksgiving/November release; 2 to 1 for a Christmas release; 5 to 1 for anything before Turkey Day.
