Jamie's bladder infection

ok....so here is a thought.....pinworms are common causes of bladder infection in females.....pinworms..

to quote Cth Greenhorn

Quote:

I haven't seen anyone mention this before, so here goes.

At 1:35, you can clearly see the number plate on a car which reads "ABZ-3293".

If you look up "ABZ" on Google, you'll find that it's a drug used to treat Echinococcus, which is a parasitical infection which can affect both livestock and human beings. Of course, we know the creature in this movie is being referred to as "The Parasite"... so yeah.

Whether this is a total coincidence or not, who knows? I just thought it'd be worth mentioning since everyone and their dog have their theories about this movie and the trailer.

Edit: More info on ABZ:
Albendazole, marketed as Albenza, Eskazole or Zentel, is a member of the benzimidazole compounds used as a drug indicated for the treatment of a variety of worm infestations. Although this use is widespread in the United States, the FDA has not approved albendazole for this indication.

It is effective against

threadworms or pinworms
roundworms,
whipworms
tapeworms
hookworms

Great find guys.

This actually gives me a theory that does involve the trailer

Teddys in japan. he may this brings 2 branching ideas

1) Hes going to return and tell Rob about some place that Robs going to go to japan to see, or work at.

2)Hes going to get into some kind of touble where he cant get back and Rob being the kinda person he is is going to go to Japan.

In a nutshell my theory is this Ted is the cause of Rob oing to japan in some way

I base this off the fact that Teds on a trip, and an extreme sugar high

I had some similar ideas, 16 hours earlier. Wink
To quickly recap my suspicions:
Teddy is Rob's boss, he's in Japan, and he's the cameraman in most if not all of the trailer.
To add to my suspicions now, Teddy is the perspective we end up seeing everything from, and is the one who actually survives this whole thing. The pictures on 1-18-08.com are laying in front of him.

As for Jamie's place looking spartan and bare - I know plenty of people that live like this. I myself am not too unlike that. It happens when you are active and lively and get out, instead of decorating the rooms like many who sit in front of a computer in said room for hours might tend to do (a little self deprecating humor there for us all, eh?). She's also a single woman, not someone 'settled down' and nesting in a place long term.

Everyone is going all nuts about the UTI, but all stuck on how and why THIS one happened. She said ANOTHER infection. She gets them regularly enough to make that statement. I put more importance in the pattern than just this instance. Let's not get hung up on the symptom whilst we forget the cause.

On the infection: Not that I want to add fuel to this fire as I personally don't believe a word of it unless I see it in the film, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the scene that was being touted as real, where Rob and co are in some shelter post monster attack and one of the girls is notably ill. I forget which one it specifically named but I think it was Jamie. But like I said, I don't want to give that theory any more proof then it really has as I don't believe it myself.[/quote]

The girl shooting the Central Park scene under the bridge was Odette Yustman, playing Beth McIntyre. Going back through the (known) set shots and videos, Jamie doesn't show up anywhere. Which is odd.

Jamie's not even in the trailer. She's in the 1-18-08.com pic with Rob and Hud, timestamped 12:04A, so *presumably* she's at Rob's party, but again, she's not in the actual trailer anywhere. (The "Rob's awesome" girl is not Jamie Lascano; some rumors have that chick as Blake Lively, but I'm not sure about her, either.)

But if Teddy was Rob's boss, don't you think Jamie (or even Marlena) would've mentioned something about it to Rob? Or vice versa? They're all friends, and Jamie would surely have contacted Rob if she was having relationship problems with *his boss*...

And the cameraman in the trailer is Hud. He's shown in the 1-18-08.com pic with Rob and Jamie actually *holding* the Panasonic HD camcorder...and in the trailer, he says, "How am I gonna survive without you, Rob? You're my main dude." The way Hud idolizes Rob on his Myspace page (calling him his hero, his "Cyclops") gives that part away.

Dunno who's actually "looking at" or "collecting" the 1-18-08.com pix...I'm thinking the rumored "recovery crew" after the disaster...but Jamie is *very* likely to be the photog for all, if not most, of them. Remember, she's a professional photographer herself, and signs the Rob-Hud-Jamie pic...so yeah, she's probably our (still photo) picture-taker.

Shocked Huh?

The trailer's cameraman?
Um, you *do* realize that a GUY is carrying the camera in the trailer ("you're my main dude"), and that Jamie Lascano is a GIRL?

I gotta say something about this whole bladder infection thing - and, I'm not trying to be mean or anything. It's just that the ref. to her bladder infection seems to me to be nothing more than a joke. Not that it's not 'real' - in the story - but that it's only there b/c Jamie thought the camera was off, i.e., she's recording herself in order to entice Teddy and then she's caught talking about her latest bladder infection... cue: audience laughter!

I honestly think it's meant to be funny, and nothing more. She may as well have ripped a big fart - it would have had the same significance. It's certainly not related to the monster, or slusho, or anything other than fictional Jamie and her fictional bladder. Just my 2 cents.

You're obviously a guy. Bladder infections are just hilarious.

Uh, why would she? That'd risk Rob's situation with his boss, and would a friend want to do that to someone? We haven't even had time to be party to much communication in any case.

I can't say I'm so convinced that Hud is the main or only one taking the video. If you go take a peek at my full speculation, it explains why. To add to that, you see cameras in use around the party directly or indirectly. Noteworthy in that picture itself, in case you thought it was taken in a mirror by Hud himself - it wasn't the camera would be labeled DH (HD backwards) if it was.

I don't know who all is supposed to have taken the pics on that site, I am just speculating on the context they are being seen in.

Even if the cameraman in the trailer isn't Teddy, I'm still inclined to believe Teddy is Rob's boss, or at least business partner. I find it interesting that Teddy has not been identified in any pics or video. This is what tends to make me think we are seeing things from his perspective.

"Would a friend want to do that to someone"....the same question could be asked of a girl who dates her best friend's boss. Bound to create friction there.

I don't rule the theory out completely...it just seems very odd that neither Jamie, Rob nor Lena would've mentioned it at some point.

As for the 1-18-08 pic: no, it's not taken in a mirror -- it's simple enough to hold up a digital camera and take a picture of yourself (and two friends). Especially since most digital cameras have a flippable/rotating viewscreen to allow you to do just that.

And the party: I agree with you that there's a possibility that there's more than one camera rolling there...or else the background music, as you pointed out, shouldn't be so in-sync. But I'm still sure that the camera guy who speaks is Hud, due to the idol-worship in his voice. (Really, I think Hud is a closet case, and secretly has a major crush on Rob. But we'll see.)

As for the relationship between Teddy and Jamie:

She obviously fell hard in love with him, else it wouldn't be so urgent for her to speak with him, hear his voice etc. I don't think that she got another guy while Teddy is on a trip - for that she appears to be too serious in the video.

Plus: She wrote (or rather she'll write) the message of her hotness about 4 months AFTER the video was taken on the back of a picture. Maybe she was a cute little girl next door before she breaks up with Ted and decides to get wild. In 4 months can happen a lot.

That could also be a reason why her room might change over time as she records more videos (for us/Teddy). I can imagine her getting really bitchy when her love doesn't turn out to be THE one. And maybe those changes (that can happen) are some clues to us.

For the room being blank: If i would take the same angle to record my and my bf's bed it wouldn't look that different Wink Our wands are blank for the sake of relaxed sleeping. Also she's in the mid 20's. So it might happen that she clustered posters on the wall when she was 16, 17 - but not anymore in the mid 20's - at least i wouldn't do it anymore and well, i'm female and 25 Very Happy

But interesting how her toy, the small Hoberman sphere, points back at the Slusho-theory about something small creating (edit: getting) something huge.

Don't forget, we have 2 camera people. One video and one stills. Easy to get confused...
