Does your POP account work?
I can't get mine to connect, despite entering all the info correctly.
Maybe there's some problem at their end... I've e-mailed Jude and waiting to see what he says. John who's on IRC sometimes says he's having the same problem.
Any ideas?!

I got sent this by Jude

It has come to our attention that some of you may have problems sending email through Ideltech. Some ISPs will not allow you to send email through a 3rd party smtp server. If you have this problem please change your smtp server to the one specified by your isp.
Thank you,
Jude Williams
Does this mean I've been given a job?

Right I've heard back from Jude:
1. Be sure to use your service providers server for your outgoing
2. You need to log in using your full email address (yournameSPLAT ideltech.com) instead of just yourname otherwise it won't work.
I also asked him about the IM program and he said:
Quote:
Fi,
We are still in the process of setting up the server to accomodate that piece of software. We have to build the interface from scratch. There is not a date as of yet on when it will be ready. I'll work quickly and get it up asap. Might take a week or two.

Bleah, I haven't gotten the Congratulations EMail, but I did get the "Email Server" one.
I hope this was just a glitch, don't wanna be fired before I get hired.

Boy oh boy am I *not* the person to be responding,
(/me knows next to nothing about these things )
but...
I received the same message. Turns out I needed an e-mail program. If you e-mail Jude, he'll help you out.

I don't know which part you're stuck at, but here goes (this is in Outlook Express, if you're using something else it may be different)...
Go to Tools -> Accounts
Click on Add -> Mail
It will ask for your name that you want shown in the "From:" part of the email. Enter whatever you want.
Next it will ask for your email address. Enter your username given to you - XXXSPLAT ideltech.com.
Next it will ask for your server names. Make sure it says POP3 in the blank for "My incoming mail server is a xxxxx server." For both incoming and outgoing put mail.ideltech.com.
Next it will ask for account name and password. For the account name put your idetech email address. For the password enter the password provided to you in the email.
That should be it.

I haven't even had the first email!
I know mail has been dissappering from my AOL account, so I don't even know if I'm supposed to have got it or not!
Part 2 of the interview somehow "vanished" from AOL even though it wasa sent several times!

Try checking your spamfilter, they tend to remove non-spam too.

I got it. Included in mine is some images of Jude's setup, which shows that his password has six characters.

I haven't got my email yet
I mailed Marcus asking if I were out or something and this was his response:
Quote:
No we are bringing everyone in on a probationary period for now.
Marcus
So I guess I should be more patient
