The stain on his hands will not wash.
the spot?

The stain on his hands will not wash.
That damned spot as old as rock and time.
What has he learned in Eon's slumber?
I doubt it's mercy or sorrow. I am diminished. Outranked.

You asked me once, what happened to those who vanished?
You asked me, why did we survive where our fathers fell?
You wished to know how we ever let it happen
A scourge that consumed the galaxy
And the cure that was worse than the cancer
You asked me once about my intent
And the spot that would not wash out
I promise you the answers lie in the Ark
Find me there in the dark For that is where I abide

that was the text referring to the spot, which surprisingly i haven't seen anyone ask about. now we know on the SOTA page that is an image of a hand print(presumably forerunner.) we know that must be the (spot) but why is it so important?and it looks lik the forerunner hand in QZ.which reminded me of the elites since they have two thumbs and the arbiter actavated the panel.so i guess it's the new AR thats in the ark and the old one was trying to tell else that. any thoughts? and i would also like to point out that gravemind did say 'i have listen thru rock and metal and time' which is smiler to 'That damned spot as old as rock and time.' and know it's NOT gravemind but still

and last thing,What has he learned in Eon's slumber?

weren't the halo's fired an eon ago? so the OAR must be referring to the NAR but i wounder what he did? was the lack of judgment his fault?

I know everyone else saw this already - but, dang, they are ripping off Shakespeare? This terrible writing make me want to cry. At least this "game" is over so we don't have to ever read their writing again.

Soooooooo true... if they were trying to say something profound or emotional with the writing in this game, they have failed.

Just to clear things up, the Sanghelli/Elites have 2 long fingers and two long thumbs.

Notice Eon is capitilized, like a name...

Yeah, I always thought there was more to this.

The way this is phrased, along with the capitalisation, definitely makes it seem as if Eon is a name.

Maybe a name for a Prophet? A Forerunner Leader? Gravemind?
