Maybe RF was the test subject?

From the testimony, it appears that there were multiple test subjects, and that this maybe be a test in telekinesis.

Does R.F.'s new post remind anyone of this?

Just hoppin' on the bandwagon, but...isn't that a direct quote from one of Samuel's e-mails?

Yes. What do you make of the similarity?

It could technically go in with the 'Sam and RF are the same person' thing. I mean, unless RF is quoting Sam, he might not be doing it intentionally. I actually don't think that's true, but I'm just sayin'.

I certainly hope our PM has simply taken a nice vacation and not bailed on us.

I don't know if the story is over or not. We have gotten a lot of answers, but there are still a lot of loose ends.

The I'm awake post really points to Samuel and RF being different people. Two of the memos are to Sammy and 2 are from Sammy.

We also know that the employees involved were put in a catatonic state and had their memories of the incident removed. I don't think Rosalez thought Sammy would ever spill the beans, so he wasn't messed with, but the Red King was able to take control of him.

Who ever his employers were, they were really evil.

I realize we cannot simply execute them all at once. Subtlety is indeed necessary.

It seems like R.F. may be in the process of being eliminated?

I guess the Red King must have some form of telekinesis to be able to control other people's minds.

We've really got a lot clearer idea of what's happening now. The amputations were probably what Sammy was hired to help with, but why were amputations done? To make people use their minds more because they no longer had their bodies?

So...has this ARG been abandoned? Or maybe on 'vacation'? Is there any clue as of what happened?

I still keep check on it, but there haven't been any updates for more than a week.

You would think there would be an end of some sort to the story. Confused Who knows....the only way we had to communicate was through Sammy's email and the blog itself. Weird way to end it.

Word to the Wise

You'd be well advised not to waste your time. The PM (Senor Bembos, again) tried to tie in the 3 people poking the corpse of the Wyoming Incident into the Red King Project this morning. After encountering skepticism, he posted another "Twas all for bonerz" message, mass deleted most of it and banned several people.

Nice that he confirmed he's the one doing the Red King, however, so people won't get their expectations up too high before he abandons it like he did the last one.

As one of those who was poking, I'm glad that I didn't attempt this one. I noticed your posts over at Happy Cube are gone. Did you get banned?

Is Bambos that big of a cheese dick to make fake ARG's? I mean, why bother doing shit like that. It's only funny to him and maybe some of the other goons.

Yep, I've been banned and all of my posts (all 6 of 'em!) have been deleted. I used a proxy to surf over and that was when I saw your post with the screenshot of Bambos' latest confession (which I've saved).

It's funny that I was banned but you weren't -- you were taking a lot less bull than I was. The only reason I can think of for that is that I called Bambos out by name. In the interest of forensics (ha), his contradictory confessions over at The Happy Cube have always seemed bizarre to me. So I was googling around last night and found this

Thanks. I'm actually working on two new projects now - one personal and one by commission. They're filling up most of my spare time. I was lucky to break away for a few days.

About 20 minutes later, I came across the Red King, which was obviously one of the projects he was talking about. It dawned on me that the guy was too egotistical not to try to recycle things from the Wyoming Incident in his new game, so I wasn't that surprised when less than 12 hours later, the PM returns to the Cube for the first time in months and tries to do just that.

Edited to note: and now your screenshot has been deleted.

what do you mean tie in the three people from the wyoming incident into the red king ? do you mean try and get them to play it/ On its own merits the story was good. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see him finish it instead of being a jerk

Well, I don't think any of us are going to be fooled again. My refusal to eat that bowl of shit and call it chocolate pudding called Wyoming Incident came to an end when theembodiment just up and left. I was at Happy Cube and participating before the first bonerz fiasco. When it ended the second time I tried to take over and do something with it and give it a proper ending but noone wanted to play along cause "It wasn't the same" Rolling Eyes

I mean, you could construe the first bonerz fiasco as being funny when it first happened because of the short length of time between starting the game and when they revealed it to be a hoax. I was miffed then, but I became pissed after the next time (when theembodiment left) because it looked like it was going to be turned into something legit. Now this third time I was kinda like whatever dude, I don't care, you're a unfunny dickwad (typical of goons to run a joke and memes into the ground).

So now I'm playing the Aurora 9 ARG, which just started yesterday. You should join. The trailhead is already posted here.

Yeah, he was trying to get us into playing Red King. When I looked and saw the already 2 month old trailhead and saw nobody else was playing anymore, I knew it just more bullshit from Senor Bambos.

Like you with Red King, I would have loved to have seen Wyoming Incident play out because what was set as a story was some really good shit with alot of potential. But don't look for either one to finish because Senor thinks his lame ass is funny when he's just a jackoff.

I found out about it probably a month ago when I was randomly googling the Max Headroom incident (which I didn't see when it happened, but as I lived in Chicago I very much remember the hysteria). The Wyoming Incident popped up thanks to the keywords used in the first video.

(And sorry, Michelle, if this is a little too "inside baseball," but it's hard to sum up these things in a paragraph. Searching for the "Wyoming Incident" threads archived here show the whole sad story of the PM of the Red King's history re: the Wyoming Incident.)

My guess? He's a guy who really wants to be a PM in an ARG. That's why he posted his "second confession" a few months ago, aluding to some character that wasn't another forum goon, but some spooooooky guy who was making the videos and lurking in the shadows. He also managed to come up with an explanation that totally exonerated himself personally from everything that had happened ("Someone used my account!" is second only to "The cat ran across the keyboard!" in explaining these things, isn't it?)

That was his attempt to clean up his reputation prior to launching the Red King. But he lacks the wherewithal to actually follow one through to its conclusion, so it winds up languishing like these both have.

I just checked out the Red Monday trailhead, but will look into Aurora 9 too -- thanks for the tip. And I'll leave these folks to whatever happens with the Red King.

Bambos has actually stated that the first version of WI was never intended to go very far, and they were only stringing players along for pranking purposes.

I'm not sure whether he's intentionally messing with people so much as losing interest, though. (I have no idea what happened with WI after the first pranking; there were some goons talking about seeing if they could take it over again and duplicate the prank with new people, but I stopped paying attention.)

Has it even been established that Bambos is the PM for this one? (Or that he was for WI 2.0?)

Either way, it was a pretty cool read, and ended at a decentish spot, so I can't complain too badly.
