So, I'm starting new threads for the new sites. Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to repost all the findings to this thread. In the meantime, here are the essentials:

How did we find it? This site resolves from www.areyouabordernevermore.com , which was discovered by running a reverse ip on www.areyouaborder.com (see separate thread).

 		Jublius re-deciphered the morse code on the Black Hills Radio Control Site this morning (9/16), so far he has:

so if we're using the numbers that the AreYouBored site gives us with the lightening flashes, that gives us:

21 12 9 2 3 4 11 16 34 =

______ clouds the so flashes the through crashing _______.
or using first letters: _ctsfttc_ (can i buy a vowel??)

We only need the 21st and 34th word translated. Although, it may behoove us to re-check and re-decipher those numbers too. (wish I'd paid more attention to my grandad when he was trying to get me interested in his HAM radio stuff)..


if (sound) is still the 21st word, and if (searing/scaring) is still the 34th word, we'd have

or maybe mixed up that would be:

so the crashing sound flashes through the searing clouds

so the searing flashes sound, crashing through the clouds..

or...

To my ear, it sounds like the ending, which you can jump to on the mp3 that tygr20 posted here and read the code as you listen.

Notice that the period (dot dash dot dash dot dash) is included at the end.

Some random thoughts follow:
Why use such a large chuck of text to only get to the 34th word?
What's with that beacon at the top of the radio tower? Is it there just for effect or could it be giving instructions on how to solve this? It cycles around ten times, and flashes eight times (is it 8 times?). Could it be that we need to make a grid of letters 10 x 8 or 8 x 10 of the entire audio text? Are there enough letters to make 9 grids, one for each number given with the lightning bolt, and then count up or down the grid to get one letter from each grid?
I think, until we nail the exact text of the audio Morse, we just don't have the raw data to solve this. I've been working on it and have most of it except a section around "against its own precincts"

And me, fresh out of graph paper.. Confused

maybe the reason so much of this is posted, is it's one whole (frikkin' long) sentence.

but i will say, too, this numbering the words thing may not be the right route to take. When it was just 21 12 9 it felt right to me that it was the latitude that runs through Cancun. so what do >>>I<<< know LOL

but since Het thought of the same thing too.. maybe the idea will lead us to something down the road... sigh...

This is the full transcript that I get for the audio Morse code, including punctuations. That semi colon after flame was tripping me up. It isn't recognizes on the translator that I posted about above and translates it as a question mark. I've added the dash dot dash dot dash dot after it and a few random words as place marks.

 		Wow. That's a lot of Morse code Smile

Anyway, I asked drizjr if there was any indication that the lightning bolt Morse code was divided into 2 "words". And apparently, it is. According to her, there are 5 blank spaces after the number 3, as opposed to 4 blank spaces after every other number. This may mean that it is 2 words.
First word: 21-12-9-2-3
Second word: 4-11-16-34

This can make things easier, since I couldn't get a logical 9 letter word out of this...

 		Having hit a brick wall, I went back to triple check the decode of the lightning bolt and found that I had made a mistake. Sorry about that. Embarassed
The numbers are:
21 12 9 23
4 11 16 34
That's 23, not 2 3.
Back to the drawing board.

 		SOLVED!
I knew it was a Beale Cipher!
With the revised numbers, it was just a matter of counting letters.
I came up with dearther. I thought it was a dead end, but it's not.

 		Ok, so now we have 3 "radio stations" each given with a lat long set.

I am guessing we have to catch the correct signal on each band to combine for another message.

Now we need to find where to get the signal combinatiions...

ill go check red cloud again for any changes

Weird voices on the radio...
There is weird, garbled talking on 27 MHz (HF). You can pick it up from all three nodes.

From node 1: Azimuth: 150.0
From node 2: Azimuth: 110.0
From node 3: Azimuth: 347.5

We need to triangulate this, and we'll get a coordinate, or possibly a name of a place...


PS: It sounds like a repeated message of people talking on a radio (like you see soldiers do in movies). It's garbled, and you can't understand it. I don't think you're meant to. It sounds like a foreign/alien language to me...


ETA - Finally, an area I can contribute in. I actually know quite a bit about radios, frequencies, and such...
Low frequency signals are less directional. This means that signals on low frequencies can be picked up pretty much regardless of azimuth (which is a fancy word for: "the direction you point your antenna in") This is what made this voice thing easy to find.
When you get up to the VHF and UHF ranges, you won't pick up the signal unless the azimuth is just right (this has to do with the fact that low frequencies travel along the ground, and high frequencies travel through the ionosphere... don't get me started).
So, for the higher frequencies, we need to actually know what we are looking for...
