Master Chief monument (diorama)

There is a 3D tour of the model shown in the ad at http://halo3.com/believe/test/shell.html

And, yes, that this _is a real, physical model_. 12 feet tall, 1200 square feet. Damn.

Holy. God.

There's so much information in that display that... I can't describe it. The music and gunfire rattling in the background, the imagery, the Master Chief being held up by a Brute as a trophy...

At least two videos that aren't up yet though.

But, yeah, to the point, I agree. Bungie is outdoing its self with promotional online things like this (I just hope the game is done). I love the amount of detail in the diorama, so many soldiers...

But have you noticed, the smoke trail from the scorp looks like it's made of cotton? Also, I might have misunderstood something, but why did the shielded Jackal sniper have a needler? Jackals carry 2 weapons now? Not to mention all the different types of brutes... and a hunter-brute, or something...

I've created a video for youtube of the full flythrough, since right now it's only available by going to the site and dragging through it (though that is definitely the best way to experience it)

If you click on the description and read it it explains why that Jackal was carrying the weapons it had in its hands. These are special hero types.

I think the diorama is great, but my son doesn't want to look at it because he thinks it will spoil the game...what do you guys think?

Erm, there's a brute holding MC up like a trophy at the end...
Even though it doesn't say MC will die, it looks like it.

Actually, there is a button on the very bottom left where if you press it, it auto-plays the whole thing.

I thought the diorama was from a battle that took place right before Halo 3? I thought it was of the same battle that the trailer with the shield grenade showed.

I'm assuming that that period of time would be in the game.

Because you start by coming to earth.
