Obviously, there's only a small chance of this being legit. However, I can only imagine how the people making the film would feel if this movie is leaked early, especially if it's in an incomplete state. For example, without the monster effects.

We all care about the movie or we would not be on this forum and I sure hope people realize how much its creators care about it. I would feel like a sack of shit for ruining it for everyone.

Unless the leak is intentional... duh duh DUH!!9

My guess is that it's just the original Transformer's Teaser. He's got a couple more trailers up for auction as well - AvsP: Requiem and Saw IV.

Looks like the guy works for a movie theater and either stole them from the theater or they were extra and not used. My mom has one of the Harry Potter teasers from when I worked at a movie theater. We had used it and it was going in the trash, so I grabbed it, figuring it could be a cool collectable.

My concern, especially with the secrecy behind cloverfield, is that if you buy this, it's very likely that you'll be buying stolen property. Not that it's likely to stop anyone on Ebay...

I have no doubt that this is fake. I could see someone starting to watch it and it says, GOATSE, THE MOVIE!

Lots of people collect 35mm movie trailers. Apparently, Quentin Tarantino has like this huge collection, and splices a bunch of them onto movies he shows at house parties. People that work in theaters steal them all the time.

Is taking something from the trash stealing?

If so, it has interesting legal consequences.

depends on what you take and who catches you pretty much. some places its illegal. back in my mischievous days i got myself into a lot of trouble for dumpster diving. i think it mostly depends on where you are and what the local laws are like.

THEY STILL USE FILM?
I thought that was a thing of the past.

I thought we had moved past using film for anything. Am I wrong?

I know a large portion of the country still uses film. I've got a pair of friends that work for the same theater company, but different locations (one with digital projection, the other old school) and the latter usually begs the other to transfer to theirs so they don't have to "build the films" anymore.
