 		[SPEC]Connections Between Slusho! and Myspace?
It was recently pointed out, in another thread, that Lena looks very different in all her myspace pics. I had noticed this before, as well as other themes in the other character's myspace pics - I mentioned it but nothing came of it. The more I think about it, though, the more I think it can't be coincidence. In the hopes of getting some attention for this possibility, I've made a new thread (my first) - I hope it's an appropriate topic for a new thread. And, sorry this initial post is so massive.

Each of the characters' myspace pics seem to have a theme. Well, with Hud and Jamie, I'm not so sure, but the others seem pretty clear. Here's what stands out to me from the pics on each character's myspace:

Rob's pics - the theme that stands out in Rob's pics is variations of bright COLORS. There's the pic where Rob is studying at a cafe somewhere - notice the red and yellow umbrellas above him. There's also the various pics with the Parrot pinata - very colorful - while Rob wields a bright green broom (?!). And, there's Baby Dominik's picture - notice the green & blue bear rattle/toy behind lil' Dominik - remind you of something from the Slusho page? The other possible theme is the "ADIOS" shirt; but, that seems to be for...

Hawk's pics - the theme here is shirts - w/the exception of the 2 pics w/Lily, every other picture is conspicuously shirt-related - there are the few pics w/Rob & Hawk wearing their odd and attention-grabbing (for puzzle-solvers) shirts. There's the pic w/gramps in a clothing store, surrounded by shirts. There's the pic of Hawk in his 'bloodied' t-shirt - and HUD even makes a comment about it, specifically drawing our attention to the shirt. And, there's the pic at something that looks like a beach-house, where Hawk (?) and some other guy aren't wearing any shirts at all. And, of course, Slusho! actually sells shirts.

Lena's pics - the theme here seems to be changing appearance; specifically, face and hair. In each picture, she looks very different. Why? No idea, but it seems a pretty obvious theme among the pics, esp. with the weird Nicholas Cage one - I mean, c'mon.

Lily's pics - the theme that stands out is public places, i.e., identifiable places. In every pic (except the Hawk ones) she's in some potentially identifiable public place. There are no names, but they all seem unique enough that someone could possibly recognize and identify them (even the one in the hotel hallway where she looks possessed - the carpet and wallpaper design might be unique and recognizable; a well-known or iconic hotel, perhaps?)

Beth's pics - this may sound like a stretch, but the theme that stands out to me is people holding things; either cameras or other objects, or just other people. In every pic, but one, somebody is holding something or someone. In the one exception, Beth's hands are behind her back - since every other picture has someone holding or embracing something, this one pretty blatantly stands out from the rest. And, what is Beth doing in that picture? She's drinking from three differently colored slushy-looking drinks at once. I'm not saying that's supposed to be Slusho she's drinking (though, it could); but, I can't help but be reminded of the Slusho flavors page. Also, notice the lights in the background in that pic of Beth sipping from those drinks - don't they remind you of the star patterns from the flavors page?

Jamie's pics - we got booze, we got partying. And, two pics by a pool. I'm not sure if there's a theme other than bein' a hot, drunk, party girl. I don't know, though - that seems too easy (no pun intended), but I can't see anything else. Can anyone see a theme in her pics, other than partying? The party-girl theme is so obvious, I'm thinking it's a red herring, and that there's something else there, a pattern I'm not seeing. Anyone see anything that ties the pictures together (other than Jamie being trashed and, well, trashy)?

Hud's pics - not so sure about Hud's pics - the only thing that seems to stand out is that 3 out of 5 of the pics have Hud w/a different girl, and none of them seem to be Beth, Lena, Lily, or Jamie. The other 2 pics are: Hud looking pissed (b/c he's alone?) and a cartoon of someone shooting a gun - again, not too happy. Is the theme just Hud trying to find a woman? I don't know.

I admit the last 2 are kind of weak, but I think the others are solid - look at the pics, decide for yourself. Does anyone see any other themes in Jamie or Hud's pics - or any of them, for that matter? Do y'all think this is just me reading into things?

At this point, I don't have an answer to the "ok, but so what?" question - I think finding anything that 'points' to something else has gotta be important, though. Beth's pics seem to point to the Flavorbots. Rob's pics also seem to point that way, but maybe not. Hawk's pics seem to point to the Store page b/c of the shirts, and because the yellow and blue coloring of the store page is reminiscent of Hawk's "Augie" shirt.

There seem to be so many opportunities for codes on the Slusho site - in the text of the History page, or the flavorbots, or the possible hand signs on the Store page, or the cups (those damn cups!); but, nobody has found anything. Perhaps that's because the Slusho page is only half the code, or is indecipherable without a 'cypher' or 'key' that lies elsewhere - on the myspace pages. Maybe we have to use the two sites in conjunction to figure out whatever there is to be deciphered.

Also, even if these pictures were not taken specifically for the movie, but were just old photos the actors brought in, they could still sift through photos to find ones that could 'work' for whatever puzzles they wanted to devise.

One last thing about comparisons with the Slusho page and the myspace pages....

On the Slusho page, everyone has been obsessing about the number 6, but that might be one number off. I think 7 might be more (or, at least, equally) significant. I say this because:

- "You can't drink just six" always seemed to me to point to the number 7. I mean, if you can't drink just six, then, how many can you drink? Ans.: Seven. Or, at least 7. To put it another way, the basic 'serving size', or 'unit' of Slusho consumption is Seven (according to their their motto anyway).
- on the Slusho! home page, there are six bubbles to click, i.e., six other pages to access. That means that the total number of pages is SEVEN. There are six pages, plus the home page.
- on the flavors page, there are 6 bots PLUS the lotus flower or secret ingredient. Thus, seven total (possible) ingredients/flavors.
- There are seven characters on myspace.
- Why was six afraid of seven? Because seven ate nine. Wink

Anyone see any other conspicuous instances of 7 on Slusho or myspace?
Anyone see any other possible links between Slusho and Myspace?
Anyone see a theme in Jamie or Hud's pics?

Actually, I have it on good authority that it's a cross-over between a monster movie and Sesamee Street. The number 7 attacks New York, the letter B smashes LA, and Big Bird devours London. It's right up there with the Silent Hill/Animal Crossing crossover (Pyramid Head lost his Tiger Beat!).

But wasn't there leaked info about the next trailer where rob and some others meet up with some military people and near the very end one of the girls starts complaining that she's gonna be sick and then when the camera pans over to her, she's actually bleeding from her eyes and someone shouts "she's been bitten!"? As if to say that she's infected, which would make sense with the monster being refered to as "the parasite" which makes me think that perhaps one of them "turn into" the raptor creatures to leave just six of the gang left.




It's a stab in the dark but i can't help it.

 		Melampus, I congratulate you on your research. I can't find anything thematic about Jamie's photos, but I think you are overlooking the obvious with Hud; the comics. Even though most are not in his Pics file, comic images are definitely a theme for Hud.

One thing I just remembered - Hud declined to add me as a friend; he said "your pic creeps me out." I thought he was just being an ass (which is in character) but maybe it was a clue.

 		The cool connection for me are the Myspace background colors and the flavor-bots. I just passed it off as coincidence(when it was first pointed out) until I looked into it more.

Hope my picture is understandable:



Hud is white for the deep-sea ingredient, and lendia is yellow because her
outlines are with a yellow border. Hawk color is blue in the interests and is the most prominent color.
