Re: Uh, OOPS!
Hey, I've made a few mockups in my time. I love playing with Photoshop, and I've spent hours making something completely fake look very convincingly real.

Well the phone thing doesn't 'ring' true anymore and the time difference is noticeable between shots.

EDIT: Nice one Buck, granted it's a hoax and anger should be abound, but it's kept me entertained! I think your innocence plea at the beginning worked nicely there too. Back to the stagnant water then...
Why hasn't the team at Bad Robot done something to keep us involved?

You are assuming file date means photo taken.
There's another date line farther down on the second image, taken in 2006.

OK, come on...
I don't like how often people throw crap out trying to get attention as the next 'scoop', but this was a clever joke with a good point.
Just to make a few points that you folks should have realized:
The UK release date is set as 2-1-08, so why make a poster that said the US date, with some Asian writing, and a broken English bastardization of 'monster' (Monstor)?
They already had the first poster leak, in a debacle, and it's what we've already seen. Why do a chop job and put a second version out that looks horribly tacked on?
This just wasn't plausible, and I'm of the feeling that half of the game with this particular deal is spotting the fakes. It's fun watching how sucked in some people are with the really bad ones too.
Just my $11 worth.

yes, I was wrong. Once again, the players instantly ferret out false data. Well done guys.
My rant about how the design of this game allows game jacks is in the META section of this forum.

It started as a photo but it's been through Adobe Photoshop CS Machintosh. I'm not saying it's fake, just saying it's been touched.
I'd like to see the original. The one that's not "closeup."
I thought it was a good chop. I'm just a newbie with photoshop but the bridge in my copy of CS2 told me something wasn't right. Under the camera field it said Adobe Photoshop CS Machintosh.

I can't believe how many changes they made to the original poster...Why include the goofy eclipse and cover up the blown out buildings on the coast of the destruction? I believe its real, I have from the beginning, but the poster itself seems so ridiculous. The first poster didn't have much going on besides the path of the beast. Another thing is this eclipse, in the trailer it didn't seem to be so "eclipsey" outside lol.
Maybe they're trying to mess with our collective heads again? Also to be honest the "eclipse" didn't actually look like an eclipse in real life. I don't know how to explain it it was like it was hovering in the sky...
I'm off to town now so I'll take another picture when I'm there.
Hi Drew JJ.
I would like to hear your explanation of this "eclipse" which could not be an eclipse, because it is "overnight".
What do you think it is?
...the Moon? The moon would have the same size like the sun... from our point of view.
Your Name references to the 1-18-08 Trailer Credits.
Nice.

Heh, congratulations on the successful scheme Drew... Do you have a web page displaying your work so we can see some of your non-Cloverfield pieces?

"Drew JJ" is the name of the artist that created a fake poster for 1-18-08.
Sounds too ironic to be true.
Why am I following this white rabbit, and where is it going?
