What I think is this: the secret ingredient is the Sea Lily. The secret ingredient is the key to the monsters origins. Oddly enough Lily Lascano's seems to be the current key to our on-going investigation. There could be a symbolic meaning there. Perhaps the secret to the Slusho site is that JJ is telling us to focus on Lily because she is the key to figuring everything out? Afterall, she was the first myspace page found, she led us to a video and does seem to be the most mysterious as far as not being in the trailer.

Just throwing it out there...discuss.

Except that her name is Jamie, not Lily. But interesting find though!

You're totally right. Perhaps I spent too much time looking at jamieandteddy.com, where she is refered to as "Lil". My bad. There's also Lily Ford, but I haven't seen much come out of her character so far.

You're *still* getting 'em confused. Wink

Jamie Lascano is the girl on jamieandteddy.com. Actress unknown, so far. LILY ("Lil") FORD, played by Jessica Lucas, is the Hillary Clinton activist/Penguin Publishing editor (or whatever)/steady girlfriend of Jason Hawkins.

So yeah....if there's anything to the "lily" theory -- and it's a pretty good theory -- you need to watch Lil Ford's Myspace, *not* Jamie Lascano's.

I know what you are saying, but Jamie DOES refer to herself as LIL' LASCANO on JamieandTeddy.com:

Quote:
Just for you Teddy-bear! I miss ya like CRAZY already!!!

Love, your Lil' Lascano

lil as in little. not lily. don't confuse the two. haha

Although, that would stand for 'little', not 'lily'. Even by extension, I don't think it'll stretch THAT far. We might as well then find every instance of 'lil' in every other particular occasion.

Just my personal thoughts, but it seems more likely to fit the actual Lily than 'lil' lascano.

Well, CloverfieldClues DOES have a point...I didn't notice the "Lil'" Lascano. It's a pretty strange nickname for Jamie, considering that NOTHING in any of the pics on her Myspace show her as anything but an average-height (maybe even a little tall...?) chick. Nothing "little" about her.

So yeah, the "Lil'" might be a deliberate reference to Lil Ford, and/or to lotus lilies...I dunno.

Well, I can't rule it out entirely, it's not possible. But usually. when you think about it, how DO nicknames develop? It's true that usually they're named after certain physical features, but they can also develop because of things that happen, or just for the heck of it.

Of course, it could just be possible that she's smaller, physically, than Teddy.

Or, it could just be because it rhymes!

While it's odd to call someone little, it's even weirder to call someone LILY LASCANO for no probable reason. And at this point, while there isn't any evidence of either, I think it's more prudent to believe that it IS a regular nickname unless proved otherwise.

You guys have totally gone off on a tangent. I mistakenly referred to Jamie as Lily because:
1. There is a Lily in the game
2. Jamie is referred to as Lil' on the the Teddy page and
3. It was late last night when I made my original post.

I do think there could still be an intended connection by JJ to the secret ingredient (if it is a Sea Lily) and Lily Ford as she does have an affinity to "useless information (which may just come in handy)"

Again, sorry for the confusion from earlier. There's enough stuff to sort through without my little error muddying up things.

No need to apologize...this *could* turn out to be a legitimate tangent. Wink From an ARG standpoint, it seems to be deliberate usage of the nickname "Lil'" Lascano -- since it's never been used before in-game, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Hey guys, first time posting. I just wanna throw in some info I came across that might be beneficial to our cause. I haven't really read any other threads but this one, but what I'm gonna bring up isn't in this thread.

Blueberry Zoom can be an anagram of:

Bob Rely Zero Mu
Bob Lyre Zero Mu

Bob is a nickname of Rob and they seem to be in a fraternity called 'Alpha Kappa MU'. as for the other words, I don't know.

And has anyone stopped to think that our creature hits a major gas line instead of a power plant to make that explosion?

EDIT: Right after I clicked submit I thought, that 'Rely' and 'Zero' might mean that Rob doesn't rely on the fraternity for something. Random thoughts ftw.

While I read that there is no specific flavor trigger, I'm still messing around on the flavor page. I don't recall anyone mentioning this, but if you zoom in as far as the flash player will let you (as far as mine would let, anyway) and look at all the bars to select the amount of flavor you want, there are 2 marks on gauge.

A = and a :

When one tries to drag the meter onto either of the symbols, the meter jumps to either side of the symbol. Just something else I noticed.

It means Slusho Zoom? Laughing

More seriously though, I hadn't really thought about zooming in on the contents of the Flash. It's something you wouldn't necessarily catch from just decompiling the object, as the images would just be sitting there at the normal size still showing no signs of what could be there in tiny form. Flash also scales images very well, so a pretty detailed image could be represented as a very small part of what we normally see as a much larger image.
Good thinking!

Considering the odd use of the word 'zoom' it is almost like we are being prompted to zoom in to see what is hiding there.

I'm really shocked that something so obvious hasn't been brought up before and done if it hasn't!

Well i decided to pop over to the slusho site and go to the section where they are on the catwalk and decided to zoom in on the shirts/hats they were wearing and noticed something strange on the monkies top.

Seems a bit strange that the monkey would have a different slusho logo than the rest, i also took particular notice of the background people (people in the crowd taking pics etc) and noticed they were making weird jestures with their hands as if they were trying to form letters with their fingers.

Newbie here
My thoughts

I saw the trailer awhile ago and thought it only to be a great movie to watch out for in the future. I run into it again yesterday and find out theres a lil more to it than just a movie and like everyone else on here me and my brother got sucked in.
We surfed the web and it lead us to the deep dark sea.
I havent had time to read the whole thread so please forgive me if I say something that some one else has brought up or if its just plan stupid.
I also typed this before I found this site so I may say things are are just obvious to you all lol

I'll start with Tagruato Corp and its C.E.O. Ganu Yoshida(Remember that name). One of this corperation's main focus of operation was its deep sea drilling technology. With the ability to go to the deepest depts of the ocean the YMR(Yoshida Medical Research) firm have the resources to study genetics of deep sea bioprospecting. This firm has been doing many experiments with the habitate deep down under hoping to find cures to most of the worlds major illnesses.

Now on to Slusho!!
Slusho is suposed to have this amazing secret ingrediant and if you go on the site they tell you a child like story of how the ingrediant was discovered. The story is about a little whale(or something) named Ganu Yoshida(sounds familiar? :p) who obtained his mother's drinking business after she died searching for the tastiest ingrediant. Yoshida wanted to experiement with science so he gave his cousin the drink bussiness and became a lead ocean scientist. Him and his team found a deep sea ingrediant and Yoshida decided to bring this discovery to the drinking business and created Slusho!
So I figured it must be a sea animal that can survive in the deep ocean but what creature could possibly survive that far below that can be edible to humans? Well if you go on the 1-18-08 website and flip over the japanese chef's picture(Just grab it with the mouse and quickly move it in a circle) you see a note written in Japanese. This note translates to a recipe where the final ingrediant is....
:::Drumroll please!!!!:::
1- Deepsea Crab
There are quite a few deepsea crabs but one from what I have found lives the deepest and one of the hardest to obtain, The Longed Clawed Spider-crab.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

This crabbed looked a bit familiar to me, back at the Slusho website you can make your own slusho with different flavor ingrediants. Reading the Tagruato news on their site, Ganu Yoshida paid a visit to a nursing home with Slusho drinks(Why would someone bring alcoholic beverages to a nursing home? I dont know) and one of the 2 mixed flavors mentioned was Mikan-Strawbery tastey. I created this flavor on the slusho site and got this...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
To me this looks like a robotic Spider-crab.

I also noticed while reading the child like story on the Slusho website that there are 4 pages to the story and if you click on the little crab that guides you through the story he has 4 different facial expressions. Now if you change the the expression for each page, when you get the the 3rd page which talks about Yoshida finding the special ingrediant the little crab is crying.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Well wouldn't you cry if you turned out to be the main ingrediant to a famous drink? :p

When you take a look at the Happy Talk section of the site one of the quotes say "on red crab 6 times", could this be crab legs maybe?
mmm Spider-Crab legs yummy... its too bad crabs only have 6 legs... 1 leg per drink? that sucks because "You cant drink just six!".
Yep that is the great Slusho's famous logo, "You cant drink just six"

I bet if they wanted to market this drink to the wesrtern world then they would probably change that slogan. Infact according to the Slusho section in the Tagruto Corp website they mention that they are searching for Marketing Professionals to bring this drinks popularity to the western market. Hmm... do you think they will find such professionals?... If only we could see in the future... wait we can, the 1-18-08 trailer shows Robs going away party. Hes going to Japan and if you watch carefully you can see one of his buddys wearing a Slusho T-Shirt and again in one of the pictures on the 1-18-08 website. What does that have to do with Rob? Well my brother checked out his myspace page and rob's profession is none other than Marketing. Im just gonna take a wild guess that Rob doesnt make it to Japan :p

Well we all know whats gonna happen January 18th, 2008 in N.Y. but why? Well if you look on the Tagruto Corp site they have a map of all their deep sea drilling facilities and the Chuai Station is located on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This station was scheduled to open last month Sept. 2007 with the most employees than any other station and only 4 months before big beasty makes its appearance on the Atlantic shores. I did say that YMR have been doing many experiments deep down under with its habitate but what I didnt mention was Tagruto Corp's Bold Futura Subsididiary which specialize in manufacturing advanced technology products. They have partnered with military organizations, space exploration institutes and arms manufaturers so just like their partners they are known for their confidentiality. As it states on the site "We keep the identities, orders, and intentions of our patrons strictly to ourselves."
Now if this isnt the recipe for top secret experiment catastrophe then I dont know what is.
All of this leads me to believe the monster is a huge crab. I know everyone wants to believe its a passed monster like Godzilla or a Pokemon but J.J. Abrams said it himself that this is an ORIGINAL monster and he wanted N.Y. to have its own beast.
This is gonna be a great movie and I believe this game is some kind of way for the viewers to get the back story of the films characters. We know whats gonna happen on January 18, 2008 but this is a way for us to understand how and why it happens.

These are the websites my brother and I wasted a few hours collecting info lol

That's an amazing well versed theory. But the secret ingredient is not Deep Sea Crab, but Deep Sea Nectar. The name they use for the secret ingredient in slusho (and the image of it on the slusho page is a flower).

It may be a crab tough. The recepie is not the only clue. Yet I wanted to clear that bit.
