Joining in... Hey all,
I first heard about this through a comment left on my LJ by mr/ms instigationplus.
All it said was 'Do you dream?'
I'm not sure why they picked me as my journal is friends-locked, but I do have ARGs as an interest...and interested I certainly am. But I'm a bit bewildered by instigationplus' list of groups/interests. Lots of New Agey and religious stuff but also...cannibalism? belly dancing? macros? 'longingtobethin'? I don't know whether it's relevant but it just struck me as an odd selection of stuff. But then it's not a game, is it...
Interesting that there's a group from UCSC listed...er, anyone live near Santa Cruz...?

This is so strange.
We had a normal conversation last night, her, Zephret and I. I'd want to be her friend.
And now she has to go and act like an ARG on acid. By the way, absurd.com has been around for a very long time. All of those websites are not her own creations, she's just referencing them.
Also, what Z and I find odd is that she is dead serious that what she's telling us is true. Usually, when there's a prologue to an ARG or even an ARG itself, you have a point or a challenge or a problem to solve.
This is just cryptic and a little bit unnerving.

Okay, good. I was actually starting to doubt her sanity.
Well, also that means I may have wasted some time mucking around those sites for clues, but we'll see about that. Glad to know she's not REALLY crazy or whatever.

Since I am now friends with whoever this is, they are in regular contact with me and would like y'all to know that they're watching our progress. They have left you messages - particularly you, Ubergeek, and you Shadom.
Wait, do what now?

I think she just wants to tell you that she' isn't crazy.

Uh ... why me? Is that a clue or just saying she isn't nuts?

You were the one who said she looked more like a crazy person than an ARG character.
I think she just wants you to know that she's watching you on this forum and that she isn't insane. She's just replying in her own convoluted fashion.

Well... As Aiobhan said, we had a conversation with her last night and she was really, really normal. She has no problems talking in comments, but she won't answer questions about the purpose of her journal.
She did say, she wished someone would look into the image slices in her journal. If you go down far enough, you will find posts with cropped images, newspapers, websites, etc.
I think we should try and work those out.
I'm feeling as though this is alien related, and if so, she believes in it whole heartedly. (I do too, to be honest.)

I think that we already have everything we need to solve whatever it is we need to solve. I think that was just intended as interaction, as Aio said "to let us know she isn't crazy." Then again, with all this code and creepy text, who knows. Point is, we still need to figure stuff out.
Why you? Hell if I know.

Base 64 code. bHVzdGZ1bA means "lustful".
Yes, the sanity of this character has to be questioned. She escaped from something, and possibly, someone is after her.
Also, n00b question: what do you mean by "running an ARG on acid?"

Well then, I'm sorry for calling you crazy. Please don't eat my soul.
How about a hint as to what to do now?

She means "We can't stop here! This is bat country!"

Like an ARG.
But... on acid.
Just picture what that would look like in your head. It would look like Absurd.org, methinks.

Pic Slices Just going through the slices.
A pic slice mentions Jenny Geddes. Brief quote from Wikipedia:
"Jenny Geddes (c. 1600 - c. 1660) was a Scottish market-trader in Edinburgh, who is alleged to have thrown her stool at the head of the minister in St Giles' Cathedral in objection to the first use of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer in Scotland.
The act is reputed to have sparked the riot which led to the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, which included the English Civil War."
Bartimaeus (mentioned in the same slice) is the blind man healed by Christ in Jericho.
Can anyone translate that Kierkegaard quote for me...
Coordinates mentioned in slices?:
(something)' 50" N., 17 (degrees) 35' (something)
and
51.53N 12.40E
(forgot-to-add-edit: Lands me in Germany)
Have no idea what that compound (or whatever it is) on the "For the Kingdom of God" slice.
