Thames is twittering

Relevant bits in bold...most he's written anywhere in a single session.
Quote:
Every once in awhile I get the chance to knock off early on a Friday and take some of my federally mandated vacation time (of course I still have to...no, I had better not write that - even with things being quieter recently, I still need to follow my own protocols)

I see that there has been a lot of feedback since I was able to stop by here last time. (I'll not bother to advise caution about your own IDs. I must assume that you have covered your own tracks adequately, or that you don't care if they know who you are. I respect that, even if I find it somewhat crazy.

Regarding the other files that I've been getting lately, I can't provide them as they contain sensitive data about apparently normal citizens. Things like financial records, medical profiles, IDs and passwords to systems. Things like that. Appears to be random and I haven't seen anything that links it to the big project.

Like many conspiriologists, AP had a pronounced superstitious streak; namely, he had a thing for good luck charms. I found this out at SXSW one night because he kept taking stuff out of his pocket and messing around with it on the table, then putting it back in his pocket. After awhile it got pretty annoying so I asked him what he was doing and he said it was just a nervous habit, worrying his good luck tokens. I didn't say much more about it because I figure a man's nervous habits are his own business, but I remember that at least one of these charms was a coin with a hole in it and one was a little stone (definitely NOT a ruby, unless they just look like stones in their raw form). There were some other things, but I couldn't tell what they were. Who knows if that might mean anything, but you mentioned a card (no ideas what that is about) and some personal items, so that's probably what they were.

As to sz's theory; if I understand it he is wondering if I am Julian Thalberg. No I am not. But as I was thinking about whether to write down that name in just a public space it occurred to me that maybe the best way to monkey-wrench this whole thing is to go as public as possible with key bits of info like that. If they are truly trying to use him for a deep cover op of some type, and they have set him up to look like he was DD from the Army, and they are using his real name (or at least the name he's used for a long time, then blowing his cover, might slow down the project. (Or, more realistically, might ruin HIS effectiveness in it. I'm almost certain there are others like him now. if nothing else, it'll at least feel like some sore of closure to say it in the clear

Julian Thalberg, former major - Army, is working for the OIS. He is on a project called OSPREY that is run by OIS ADDOPS Claudia Reece. The nature of OSPREY is unknown, but there is strong evidence that it deals with establishing a Big Brother-like surveillance network to be used against the American public. There. I guess we'll know pretty soon if they were already aware of this account. Gotta go.

Ooops, just realized that someone was on here advising against that. Personally I think there was already more than enough on the open web to shut them down, if they were inclined to do so. And I think the lack of any OSPREY files in the recent past means that they have changed their own internal protocols sufficiently to foil the system that I was using to get them.

If you we[r]e to do a search right now, I know (because I've done it) th[en] you would find at least 10 secret projects or conspiracies etc. at least as well-documented as this one, that absolutely n[o] one has ever done anything worthwhile to try to shut down. It's the nature of our world, and of how the majority of our people choose to live in it, and it is why THEY will always win.

I've been a fool from the very first, to think that I, or AP, or anyone else could do anything about this. Because we all know (if we are honest with ourselves) that Claudia Reece could go on Oprah this afternoon and tell the whole freakin' world what they plan to do and the whole freakin' world would not only agree to it, they would go buy the book.

So I say drive them further underground. Hack their systems. Make them work harder for it. My goal has been to stop them. but I've learned enough to know that that is, in the most literal way, impossible.

So if they can't be shut down I think the only way to approach it is to limit the effectiveness of what they are trying to do. ... But I have no idea how to do that. Yet.

Well, either RT doesn't remember that Promis is part of the story and that it is a data mining tool; or he's been fed information about us. I think it's the former.

Looks like breaking the password to AP's post will be like stealing the leprechaun's Lucky Charms. The sphere could indeed be a ruby in quartz. Compare AP's sphere to this. And that's what he used for his login.

And this is probably the last we ever hear from RoyalThames.

Those of us still on the trail have taken adequate protection. Hiding in plain sight as it were. More concerned with clearing the fall brush to blaze the rest of the trail.

Your information doesn't sound so random. Strikes me as a promising development about a government covenant.

We believe the card has something to do with an AP contact. Disinclined to discuss that publicly w/ any specificity.

While disrupting this program remains the end goal, driving JT undercover before we can discover more about it seems unwise. It behooves us to learn as much as possible about the program(s) to gauge their scope, reach, and methodology. That way we don't just shut them down, but can have some idea as to their effects.

We're working the leads. And not yet as world weary as you. We'll figure out something

Maybe we should call ourselves The League of Citizens for Benign Government?

the coin

The small coin is an authentic I-Ching coin, or a very good reproduction, and the larger looks like a reproduction of an I-Ching coin.
I agree that the sphere does resemble quartz ruby..
Be back later to hash out the Finnish..

Search brings more random connections.

The Gemstone File is one of the most notorious documents within the conspiriology community, a vast 'suppressed history' timeline detailing the shadowy truth about America's meteoric rise to global super-power status. A Rosetta Stone revealing the hidden connections between the elite rich and powerful. Or have we placed our faith in a fake?

Just amused that we're dealing with a ruby sphere and there's a conspiracy called the Gemstone File having to do with substituting someone for a doppelganger.

Lucky Charms

I'm coo coo for Lucky Charms! (my mixed metaphor, mort Razz)

So, while we are doing absolutely nothing here ('cept Surf), check out Silverladder arg. It's much more interesting, and faster paced. And Surf, there is already a radio number transmission that needs de-ciphered. It just started last week, and the main "opening" isn't until Oct 11th.....

I say we abandon ship here, walk the plank, and don't put all of our eggs in same boat (yes, I know it's 'basket'...LOL)

Must be my ADD kicking in....I'll check in a few times, but not actively following this any more.

I've had half an eye on it. Not sure it's my kind of story. And it moves so fast I've had trouble latching on.

Silver

I'll pop over and try my hand at cracking it right after I research our new clues... still looking for a way to integrate a dictionary file into the SPIKEproxy client program, just in case I can't find a match for AC with the clues.

Don't know anything about cookie editors. You sure it's a problem with cookies and not referrers or browser headers?

Anyhow, not sure exactly what you're looking for. Check this out and if that's not it, tell me what's wrong with it/be more specific about your needs.

Maybe this?

Don't know of anything that will automatically download info to modify a cookie to your specifications.

Convolution=BAD, bad monkey, BAD
No banana for monkey

So, I deconstructed the photo of AP's junk.
I need help in identifying the items using eyes besides my own.
~The photo~

From the image

~Ruby pebble/sphere~ or so we think.
~Replica of a GuangXu Chinese coin on top of circled city (Hyvinkää,FI)~
    ~Other 2 coins (top is oxidized copper GuangXu coin/bottom I haven't researched)~
~Plastic Indian archer, could be pewter/tin~
~Deaddrop(pillbox), or a hingeless lighter or something else all together~
~Photo in a button (the boys facial structure looks like Jade's)~

I need your speculations on these things to jump start my search for possible Finnish words relating to them.
Thank You

RoyalT impression

I was doing my best RT impression by trying to post all of this on TWITTER....haha. So here is the repost from page 56. There is more info there about each item.

Top Half of Image

- Wooden cross with what appears to be a dried flower: Can't tell what kind of flower for sure, but could be a rose bud (Citizen Kane! ). Looks like some sort of cord or wire attached to the cross.

- Three coins: Two have square punchouts (Chinese?), the other has a figure (I think female from the neck).

- Crossed arrows badge or pin?: Didn't know what this was at first, the lighting is weird but one part definitely looks like an arrow and I think probably crossed arrows. I did a google image search on "crossed arrows" and found this link: http://www.ghostrecon.net/html/recon-sfg.html that has an image near the bottom of the page that looks a lot like what is in the box . The site is for Ghost Recon and it identifies the emblem as "The Special Forces Crest".

- Torn business card: Already discussed

- Map of Finland: (Under the coins) Several people have mentioned this.

- Map of Washington (Under the map of Finland): Wasn't sure it was a map at first but you can make out the words; "Attrac", "Shop", "Dinin" & "Enter" between the two images.

- Concert Ticket, Adam Ant: I agree with coffeebean on the location as The Masquerade in Ybor City. But fairly recent news articles say The Masquerade is shut down. And I haven't heard of Adam Ant doing anything in a long time.

- Post card of Helsinki, Finland: (Under the cross) Looks like a post card, and Tristan mentioned post cards in the box. It also looks like another post card under the one with the boats. I can only make out what looks like the bottom on an "L" and an "A"; probably another one from Finland, but can't tell from where.

- Three pencils, 1 mechanical (drafting?) and 2 normal (Faber Castell - German?):

- Blank notebook: Unruled, Moleskine? (per Tristan)

- Marble or pebble?: Smooth round object, hard to tell the color.

- Pocket knife: Looks weird, what are those three button things on the side?

- US Passport: (Under marble and knife)

Bottom Half of Image

- Brocade holder/pouch?: Possibly pens inside it. Looks too short for chopsticks.

- Metallic, rectangular object?: Smooth, rounded corners. No idea what this might be.

- Pencil Sharpener: Makes sense with the two pencils

- Post-it page tabs (red and yellow):

- Something orange: The color might suggest a highlighter, but it would have to be very small. Fits with the tabs and pencils, though, for writing and research.

- Glasses w/sunglass clips: We can assume that Allen wore glasses.

- Another Map?: (under Finland and Washington) Can see the word Calgary. Possibly a map of Canada?

- Miniature figure: An archer. Was Allen a gamer? This seems really odd.

- Key: Can't see it very well because of the postcard, but it looks like it has a round body.

- Another stone or pebble?: Can't see it very well under the archer.

- Picture: Sort of a locket. Looks like a young boy.

I said I QUIT! I'm in the wrong forum dammmit.

@cbean

Life is full of compromises =P
I'm working on the short wave radio codes. (which those SL melodramatic boots can't seem to bother with)

In return you give me much needed insights =D
and you make me laugh which causes me to be in a humorous mood and more able to decrypt stuff with a smile.

RT I was just sitting here sipping a little rooibos when it occurred to me that someone had said something about seeing AP's personal effects. So, I went back and looked and sz said "the deceased's items". I'm not going to ask how you know what those items are, but is there some way someone can get me a list of them?

Surfzoned Links items..The same ones as on the forum post.

@CB

I've only been trying Finnish words for a while.

On another note.. I'm waiting for RT to tell me what the object is..
My reasoning:
    1) One English word translates to Four Finnish words (on average).
    2) One Object has at least Five word combinations in English that can be used to describe it.
    3) Wordpress.com password forms are capable of differentiating accented letters, spaces & capitals.
    4) I don't fully understand Finnish linguistics (it took me years to understand English linguistics). i.e. Tenses, possessives, modifiers, etc...
    5) Many English words have Finnish personalized or regional counterparts that I can't find. i.e. Deaddrop & Pillbox
    6) There are at least Ten objects I feel could be the one and TWO it could be that I just can't identify at all.

All the items you could fit in a pocket together and aren't used for writing.
Sphere/Toy/Button/Pillbox/Knife/OxidizedCoin/ChineseCoin/HeadCoin/Insignia/Cross

I can't identify the Keychain item & the Helix Pattern item.

As an example the coin over the city: I-Ching coin, lucky coin, fortune coin, Feng Shui coin, Guangxu coin, copper coin, bronze coin, round coin, holed coin (although the Chinese never referred to them this way a westerner might), coin of fortune, dragon coin, coin of luck.
