Seems to suggest that giving everyone discounted Slusho solved all of their labor problems, because all of a sudden everyone became Slusho! Happy!

There's definitely something in slusho that makes you happier and perhaps stronger and younger.

Doesn't Rob *already* work for Slusho?

Remember his post on his MSP about trying out some new marketing software his boss had given him...

Also, another name to add to the list (above) of new people appearing on the Tagruato site: Chef Nakamura, from Garbanzo's, the restaurant in Sandefjord, Norway. He's the guy who fed "Vernon Macdooble" the mysterious meal, which is probably the recipe given out on 1-18-08.com.

I'm thinking Chef Nakamura is either the guy on the 1-18-08 pic, or maybe the young Asian dude at Rob's party...???

Hmm.. CloverfieldClues.com seems to think this site is OOG. Anyone else buy into this theory? I don't for a few reasons:

1. The site was registered at the end of July. If this was a hoax, I doubt the owner would take this long to spread it around the internet.
2. JJ said in July that there were more sites we hadn't found yet. It took two months (almost to the day) to find this. Aside from this site and Slusho, what other sites have been discovered from that month? (Jamie's site doesn't count) None. There's more out there.
3. The call-in number wouldn't be the work of an amateur. What hoax sites have paid that close attention to detail?
4. It's too in-depth. Fake sites are more or less rush jobs put together by people looking to capitalize on the hype, intended to be ready ASAP. This site is too well-done to have been completed in a few days.
5. It was updated regularly even though no one had found it. It was waiting for us to find it.

If it's fake, this gets my vote for the best spoof thus far. But I'm 99.9% sure it's real.

Yeah, it's legit.

I think someone at Cloverfieldclues (which is usually a good site) -- namely, Dennis -- is just peeved that he didn't know anything about Tagruato until Unfiction posted it, and childishly dismissed it as a "spoof."

Indeed, I can't quite see why a gamejacker would be so insightful to register the domain less than a month after the trailer was released, sit on it for so long, then release it like this.

idea

On the interactive map of drilling stations, has anyone thought of or tried to use a program like BB flashback or another screen recorder to slow down the flash, and analyse the code that comes up below whilst the station details are being formed? Do you know which one I mean? Maybe chuai the station would be of specific interest?

Why it has to be Legit for me is the first lead came from 1-18-08 itself and it you do the google search for "kaitei no mitsu" it comes up with the review with the Tagruato reference. End of story.

I suppose everyone could do their own translation but I trust Lasher as he has been a poster here for a while. That would be the only thing that would keep this from being legit -- a fake translation(which I highly doubt). Someone else should confirm Lashers' tranlation of the word.

Kaitei no --- is fairly easy to prove:
For Kai -- http://www.kanjisite.com/html/start/rhsinfo/r_kaiumi.html
For tei -- http://www.kanjisite.com/html/start/rhsinfo/r_teisoko.html
For no -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_%28kana%29

Even with just that(Kaitei no) -- the review clue will come up:
http://www.google.ca/search?q=Kaitei+no&hl=en&safe=off&start=40&sa=N

mitsu does seem to represent nectar\honey. I just haven't found that last symbol yet. Has anyone else?

But even with Kaitei no which comes right from the 1-18-08 site it quickly leads to the review with the Tagruato reference. So it's legit to me.

{EDIT} Ha... just found the last symbol:

Pretty sure it's just random gibberish, as every time I click on the same one it comes out with different symbols (trust me, I have a good eye for patterns like that).

I would call it evil, but has anyone tried to look up the number on the contact page? I imagine it's listed somehow in phone records in Japan if it's a real number. If it is listed, and it's named as being Tagruato's number, then I'd say it's worth calling it - if you can afford it.

I called the number on the contact page... It's in Japanese then in English...

Thank you for calling Tagruato, due to high call volumes we have transfered your call to the automated answering service. There are NO UPDATES at this time. Please leave us a message and we will return your call.

Actual phone number internation further verifying the sites legitimacy.

Was just about to post that.

However, if you're still willing to call, what would really be cool is if you could record the message and post it here for the rest of us to hear. No one has done that yet to my knowledge.

Two brief comments... 1) If this is a gamejack, I'm as happy to play along with the impostor as I was with the original. Happier, in fact. 2) This has been mentioned before, but I'd just like to emphasize: Chuai station seems really significant. It's just now started drilling into the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and New York is due West.
