Theory. Could Be Possible. Please Discuss.

 		To Summarize Thus Far
So, let me get this straight.

We have the 'awakening' theory, in which the drilling rigs awake a dormant creature who then goes on a rampage.

Then we have a 'mutation' theory, where a deep sea nectar oil-spill of sorts causes underwater animals to consume, and then mutate, into the creature(s) of "Cloverfield". A la, Godzilla forming via radiation from the Hiroshima bombing.

Third, we have the 'green' theory. Global Warming thaws out a chunk of ice holding this prehistoric beast, which then gets mad, and attacks New York.

And finally, we have the 'alien' theory (I find it the most unlikely, but still, every theory is only made up to such a degree), where the creature lands into the ocean, sleeps awhile, gets awoken, and then goes all crabby and kicks the crap out of the Statue of Liberty.

Having seen JJ Abrams's past work, I have a feeling that it may be either (a) a combination of a concept here, a concept there, or (b) one we haven't even considered yet.

 		While I enjoy reading these theories, I can't help but think there's still (obviously) some pieces missing for us to actually figure everything out.
Who knows, it might be a mix of theories we've already thought of.

Good, plausible theory, though, and it could hold some relevance.

 		I personally think it is either the "awakening theory" (because the bottom depths of the ocean have not been explored and god knows what lurks down there and the "mutation theory" because who knows what concentrated doses of the special nectar ingredient may do to living creatures, or maybe a mixture of this ingredient and the oil they may be drilling in the area.

An alien i think is too far fetched. Maybe the global thing, that sounds alright, but maybe tied in with the dawakening theory too
