Bubble Tea has been around for some time. There is a Filipino restaraunt up here in the Yukon Territory, ( whitehorse ) that serves bubble tea.
A lot of kids go and get it at lunch time. It is cold, not frozen, but has the gelatin like balls that float in it. Rather odd consistancy, but you can get it in several flavours, blueberry being my favourite.

A few years ago, there was a bottled soft-drink version of it in canada called "Orbz", or "Orbs".

No slusho brand at the restaraunt.... yet. Twisted Evil

NOt sure if this is anything or not, but on the tagruato website, they mention the CEO's name As Ganu Yoshida (http://tagruato.jp/headlines.php?story=news_07_07_29)

Quote:
Tagruato CEO to be honored at Pacific Oil Conference
Tagruato CEO Ganu Yoshida will leave the Pacific Oil Conference this year with more than just a belly full of gourmet hors d'oeuvres. He will be honored with the Khodorkovsky Award for innovation. The award is a long time coming. Ganu's introduction of the Tagruato deep sea drilling techniques has revolutionized off-shore drilling, and has put his company on the brink of mega success.

Ganu will accept the award at a gala ceremony on the conference's final day. "I have to give a speech," commented Ganu. "They hope for me to tell my secrets. They will get none."

The POC takes place between September 17th and 20th in Reno, Nevada.

a quick google of that name returned ' http://ganuyoshida.blogspot.com/ '

New Website!!! @.@
I have decided to keep a journal for my friends in the American United States.

I am doing well here in Honshu. The family company is running smoothly now, and I have relinquished much of the more technical aspects to more capable hands. However, I am still on the Board of Trustees as the "Creative Director", which sounds silly for a man who makes soft drinks. However, I will not relinquish my supervisory role in the corporation. Mother would have wanted it that way.

For those of my American friends who remember Mother, she was headstrong and moody at times, but she always knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it. That's what I admired about her, even if it is what overtook her in the end. Robert, if you are reading this, do you remember Mother's lycee pudding? I served you some at the last conference, where we met. You were just an intern at the time, and I was learning the ropes of the business. I loved that pudding.

But, enough reminiscing. The website for the company is up now, and Satoshi tells me it will be finished by November of this year. I never thought I would be making money off of Mother's little soda venture, let alone selling T-shirts! It is a strange and wonderful new day.

Yours,
G.Y.

He mentions "Robert" and a pudding his mom made "lycee". I just thought it was wierd how this was posted 2 months prior to the tagruato website turning up. Could be a hoax, could be a repost, i dunno.

Again, the decompiled flash shows that it is just randomly generated text. Nothing will be hidden there unless they create a new flash movie.

i'm sure it's been mentioned...

and i just can't find it via the search, but someone has pointed out that the drilling station nearest NYC is the only one not yet opened, and is slated to open in September 07. pretty reasonable connection that the pictures are dated 3 months later...just about long enough for new drilling in the mid atlantic to wake up a super monster.

Hah. I just thought it was funny, you guys just now mentioning the bubble tea. that was actually the first thing I thought of when i saw the DSI dropping into the cup for the slusho, cause I love bubble tea. xD

I dismissed it as silly, though.

Bubble tea might be nice, I still may try it, but I remember Orbz - they had it here for a short while, thank GOD. The nastiest stuff I ever had the displeasure of drinking.

I know the Bubble tea has been around for a while, but the websites could have been an inspiration for the Slusho site.

FYI...

Mid-Atlantic Ridge:

Of all the trenches, it's apparently the only one that's explicitly defined as volcanic.

hey again,
i gotta say i love these forums. just fun to see how every1 is into this soo much. (i kno sort of sad but its fun eh? Laughing )

for the person asking bout the address in Tokyo:
go back a few pages in this topic and read what I quoted from another site. there is a guy from japan who said the address is invalid and probably fictional.

also thanks again for that brilliant discovery of the one hand holding the earth. that was hell a cool. i hope there is more on that page we can explore.

keep it up
pat

P.S.:

anyone tried emailing the registrant of the website yet, Daiske Kagashima?
his email is: sk7087SPLATgmail.com

LMAO It's wasn't like a death sentance. I didn't mind Orbitz that much, and actually had an unopened bottle on top of my fridge for years as a "salute to corn" (the little yellow Orbz reminded me of corn kernels). Come to think of it, I may still have it. Laughing

[EDIT] to get URL correct

I think this site is still being developed

The consistent thing I've found in the Source code for all the websites is that a base site is made, and when we find it, "they" begin working on it more heavily. Some of the sites (like the myspaces) were ready and are sites that a person would normally update anyway, but Slusho was sitting there with almost no links working when it was found, and this page is the same way in it's first form. Now that it's been found, it will be fleshed out. If there are other sites (like JJ said), that we haven't found yet, they won't be complete fully-functional sites, they will be bare bones until we find them. You can only have so many coders working at a time, and "they" aren't going to update them until we give them a reason to.

Logic states that by my theory "they" watch these forums... which was kinda proven when JJ told ARGamers that Ethan Haas had nothing to do with 11808, since that meant that he or his people had been cruising these sites for false info... "They"'re watching....

Okay. It's funny that you mention that whole find-it, then they flesh it out thing. Has anyone read on the front page of Tagruato.jp, where it says this:

"Tagruato's crew of Slusho! Smilers! arrived at the Ibaraki Nursing Home in Mito yesterday with a special surprise for the feeble elders on Floor 3 - Slusho! brand happy drink! The lovely ladies handed out seven drinks to each senior in any flavor they could imagine."

Well, I went to smilers.jp, and it is nothing but a domain name. Is this one of the bare-bone sites you were talking about? Or does that mean the site has been unpurchased?
