Monster Clue

First of all, this is one of my first posts so please bear with me and I apologize in advance if this should have been posted somewhere else/has been discussed already/is in the wrong format etc. I've been following this for a while and just thought this was interesting. And yes, I briefly mentioned this idea in another thread but it wasn't responded to 8 pages later, so I believe it got overlooked.

I was looking around on the Tagruato Corp website in the History section and the header of one section "A New Sun Risen" stood out because it sounded so awkward. I ran it through an anagram machine and the most interesting thing that came out was "New sin near US."

In my mind this could be a point toward the motivation of the "monster or just a nicely veiled inside joke.

/takes a deep breath

Or the other way out theory is that it is a reference to the main antagonist of the Final Fantasy X video game. I know, I know, just hear me out. I'm not saying that IS what the moster is, I'm just saying that it could be a programmer or someones clue about the motivation of the monster or where it came from.

Sin is a gargantuan beast which threatens the world of Spira in Final Fantasy X. It was given the name by the people of Spira who believed that the beast was created by the sins of their forefathers due to their use of technology...

Ok, so please take it easy on me....remember it's my first time, so be gentle. Laughing Thanks and keep up the great work!

fan of the final fantasy series, and sin would be intersting to see as the monter. sin him self or a version of it. either way i don't think that the case considering that is not orginal, but basing off or parts could be intersting. the way i look at it is, we have no idea what in the world it looks like...

sin would be a good base tho Very Happy

Right, I'm not saying it IS Sin, I'm just saying it would be the same general concept maybe.

there has been fan art of sin going around the net as a possible monster for the movie, namely this one

It would be gr8 to see a sin like monster in the movie. Although i can see that it doesn't quite fit the bill as being the monster we are looking for. it would have sizable difficulties navigating the streets of new york and is manouvreability would be lessened by its size too.

Besides the whole Sin thing though, do you think the anagram was an actual clue or am I just reaching?

Right, putting the whole monster thing aside for a second could the anagram "New sin near US" just be referring to a new atrocity that the company in committing by violating the earth or something.

if it is not referring to the monster, then it would not make sense as there are 7 deadly sins and no other. (strangely tieing in with the 7 slusho ppl and also drinking more then six).

I think the saying "a new sun has arisen" may not be unusual for those of japanese origin, but may sound weird to us. I think clues may need to be researched elsewhere.

I never said anything about the 7 Deadly Sins. A "sin" can refer to any great multitude of thing that are wrong. And obviously "A New Sun Risen" has roots in Japanese culture since it is the "Land of the Rising Sun" but they've already proven to have put anagrams in the game with the "Toxic Industry Junk." If it was just the header of the colum then "A new sun rises" or something would have been more grammatically correct. As it is, it just sounds awkward and stands out and I believe that was done for a reason.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they HAVE put anagrams in as much as people have FOUND anagrams that they think fit the theme. The toxic junk is a good one, but where does it connect? Shouldn't finding such anagrams lead us somewhere?

Furthermore, The concept of a "sin" is derived directly from religion, and we've been given no hints or clues that religion will play a part in this movie/game. Sin in FFX did connect with religion because of the "Teachings of Yevin". Technology was against the teachings, and using it was a "transgression of divine law" (the definition of a "sin").

/soapbox

I'm not trying to be mean or rude with what I just said, it just seems that too much speculation (not from any one source) may end up muddying the waters.

Sin would be an awesome base for a creature or even better just a FFX movie (too bad Square Picture is no more).

Would i like to see sin be the monster? Well it really doesnt matter for one reason.
JJ Abrams will NOT have the monster be sin. Now, im not bashing the final fantasy seris, dont even think that for one minute. I dont know alot about the seris. And that right there is the problem.
While this may be extremly appealing to those of you who are huge fans of the seris. But its too one dimensional. A good 95% of the country has never heard of sin. JJ would need to develope background on sin, and judging by the wiki, its alot more than a 1-1/2 to 2 hour film can handle.
Simply put JJ's smarter than that.

Wait, what was "toxic industry junk" an anagram of?

EDIT: Nevermind, it was "You Can't Drink Just Six"
