The only way this will be confirmed or denied is if someone ELSE achieves the same level of communication.

It would be stupid for Rob to contact only one person like this, because the puppetmasters cannot be sure if the contact will go public with that information. So, in order to authenticate the reality of it, the communication has to occur with multiple people to ensure the word gets out.

Secondly, every communication that Rob makes with the outside world has to be autonomous, and not rely on communications from anybody else. Because, theoretically, we don't know each other. We have to pretend that this forum doesn't exist, so the research and the discovery has to be treated as if it's one on one, independent of everyone else.

Considering the amount of volume the MySpace page is probably getting now, if this is authentic and is the way to go, it shouldn't be long before a real response takes place.

i've been trying (although i don't know if its the right way) to get a response, not response just yet. Said stuff like hi, stumbled across your myspace. tell me more about yourself kinda thing. nothing too in depth. Not a letter of a response sent back.

No getting around it.. Mr. Toasty's evidence is full proof. Colby got one in on us more gullible (hopeful) types.

Gathering information...
...perhaps a team effort?

It's been mentioned we should 'restart' this thread with a new one given recent events, but I think we just need to start an organized correspondence thread for Taguato Corp. That wat all we'd need to do is add ColbyRook to the OOG/Gamejack sticky, and be done with that annoyance.

Opinions? Suggestions? Flaming projectiles?

P.S. Is there a Uf approved Correspondence [TAG]? Smile

Since we really can't trust emails or MySpace private messages, I think the only way to confirm something like this would be if Rob left a comment on his MySpace page. That way everyone could verify it was real.

So if we want to make a concerted effort to get a response from Rob, it should be through leaving message on his MySpace page and hope that he responds there.

We really should start banning hoaxers now, with all the new stuff we've had recently we really can't afford to be side-tracked by people looking for some cheap kicks.

brettoniasam: I didn't mean to suggest the Moties coming to earth. Rather, a species like the Moties (see raptor-like rumor), in so far as man simply can't compete.

GoDaddy displays the registration as such...

Administrative Contact:

18 Palace Plaza
36-40-10 Marunouchi
Marunouchi, Tokyo 118-8336
Japan
8105805681

Notice the phone number... I hate to say this because of the innocent person that might be at the other end, but that could be a US number (810-580-5681).

"810" is the area code for Michigan (wireless phone number in the city of Algonac, Michigan, apparently), so probably nothing...

When you set up the domain info, and pick Japan as the country, the 81 is hard coded as the country code. So it's not likely they meant that to be a US number.

Besides, haven't people already called the Japanese number and gotten a message?

BTW, Does anyone have a recording of the message?

I called the number as if it was a US phone number, and got a recording saying that the number I dialed was incorrect and to try again later. But after that, the machine said "3 2 1 7". My guess, is that's just the number of the automated message that I received.

In short, I don't think it's a US number. Plain and simple.

Did a reverse phone lookup for the number, to call it from the US (if anyone likes having phone bills in the triple digits), you have to dial
011+81+3+local number.
(country access+ country code+ city code for tokyo [where the town listed is])

Hope that helps.
