Due to the likeness and the probable connection with Mage: The awakening, I dropped this message on their official forums:
Quote:
I only recently realized the possible tie-in with our Alternate Reality Game and your RPG. We have been told by the cards to get more people to play and if anyone will play with us, it's you lot. This is your Silverladder. Start to climb it.
So here are some links you may find interesting.
Silverladder
The main thread for discussion
The player's website.
And, our forums for SL
We are really excited to welcome any new players, and if you have any questions please send me an email at aniiSPLAT silverladder.com
Thank you!
:3
I hope this pulls in a couple newbies.

And here is the rub:

The information will include sounds, sights, messages, disinformation, clues, confusion, chaos, art, and love. Some of it will help. Some of it will enlighten. Some of it will distract. Some of it will entertain. Some of it will confuse. It is up to you to sort it out.
It's all about the Chaos.
Enjoy.

Hey guys- I mentioned the idea in IRC the other day of taking some of these cards and geocaching them. In short, Geocaching lists lat and long coordinates that people use GPS to find. It's like a scavenger hunt of sorts. I think we need to put some of these cards out there- there are a lot of ARGers that do geocaching because, well, it's fun. I think anyone that would find one would enjoy this, and could help our cause. Right on, though, Lisa
Don't know why I didn't see this until now, but I am going away this weekend to go geocaching in the Berkshires. I will be leaving at least one cache-card now that you suggested it! Great idea!

Considered yourself recruited!
If you've read the trailhead... you're just as caught up as the rest of us.
oh, I think the point is finding the beauty in the chaos.

promotional playing cards I've been making stickers the size of playing cards that can be stuck to the back of a regular deck. I'm going to print some out and hand them out around my university campus. I'll post a jpeg later so you can print your own, or if anyone wants some ready made I'd be happy to send them out - just PM me your snail mail addy.
I'm also going to post here: http://www.atcards.com , I'm sure someone in the artist trading card community might be interested. [/url]

facebook group? Also - is there a facebook group yet? I don't think it will be helpful as far as discussing the game... but it should be a good networking tool. I'll set one up when I get home from work if there isn't one.

I created a Facebook group for SL. So far I've dragged a few friends in, not many.
I'd love if people would join, and help with the group. I'm still running around trying to figure everything out.

The story of my recruitment tries. Right after I reposted the "For the curious" video on MS, I was hit with about for people asking me "WTF was that about?" I told them about SL and got the same reply from all. Needless to say, you won't have to worry about them playing.
So now I'm going to each of my friends on MS and I've got one that seems interested (though he has yet to make a real commitment). all I can figure is that it takes a certain breed to look over sites with a fine tooh comb, work puzzles and basically scavenge and scrounge for information for fun. I'll keep trying and all isn't lost on my end.

It's always interesting to appeal to their ego by saying in the subject line something like "Are you smart enough to help us?"
My friends have said they'd rather be stupid than take part though. ;_; I hate them and am never talking to them again. XD
