I agree he mentions it pretty casually, try this theory on for size. Its still swag from Rob. The slusho 7 are all friends that speak on a somewhat regualr basis. Their blogs are directed at their other friends (slusho 7) and not so much the general public (us). They all know about Slusho from Rob. Hell, maybe its even their new "cool" thing or something like that, you know how friends are. JJ mentions it casually but more importantly mentions what he is drinking by name in a casual blog post, as if it is a callout of their (slusho 7) new "cool" thing. In summation I think the casual mention is because the blog post is directed to the others in the slusho 7 who would already know all about Slusho from Rob.

 		Plus, I think JJ & Co. *had* to "casually" drop Slusho in as a reference somewhere in the Myspace pages just to help qualify the sites as "official"...remember, that's one of Hawk's first blogs, and was significant in the VERY early stages of the Myspace phase of "confirming" a link to Cloverfield.

[Theory, seems likely] Rob will be hired to work on the Slusho account in the future, as the Tagruto website mentioned it will be ramping up its marketing in the US and he hasnt mentioned his involvement in the marketing yet.


While Rob hasn't *officially* said who he works for, all indicators point toward him already being in Slusho's employ...1) it would help explain "schwag" that Hawk got hold of; and 2) Rob's blog entry about "working on a new marketing program for his boss" could point toward Rob already being part of the company's marketing scheme.

Again, nothing official or concrete says that...but it seems to fit in with the "plotline" easily, and I just don't see the point (from a writer's POV) of having Rob work for a *different* company and then sometime in the next few weeks suddenly get hired by this "great NEW company" called Slusho...

...in other words, all us "players" are already hip to Slusho, so what would be the point of "introducing" it to Rob Hawkins later? That would be redundant to the plot.

This really piqued my interest. Say slusho isn't available in the US just yet, but it's been test marketed in the NY area and become a huge hit. The party is the pre-cursor to the big push for the company selling it here in the states. Rob is going to Japan because it's about to launch here and marketing needs to be hashed out at corporate.

Now imagine if New Yorkers, hundreds if not thousands of them, are all drinking Slusho and relieving themselves - ultimately sending "the pheremone" back into the ocean to attract the monster...

 		I would actually say Rob doesnt work for Slusho, based on the things he said to beth, it would appear to be something unrelated and smaller than slusho.

 		First time poster, long time lurker but alas another theory….

Concerning this whole "Jamie Home Video" portion of this game. If parts or the majority of the movie is filmed via the handheld camera (the one we see in the trailer) would this be the same camera? Or do you think this is a web cam and unrelated. I just have a suspicion that this camera (that Jamie is using) and possibly tape is what the whole "movie" will be filmed on (or over)…

 		i'm thinking it is a handheld camera that she is using (she would have had to reach down and click a mouse to stop it if it was a webcam and the webcam would not have a lens cap). However, i do not think it is the camera that filmed the trailer. (might be though if the person in the other room owns it and films the trailer). If it was Jaime's and it was indeed the HD camera as mentioned, she would probably want to use it herself not star in the footage. I could be wrong. Embarassed

I really dig the OP's observation of the connection between Jamie and the logo, that doesn't seem accidental to me at all. What it means, not sure, but an astute observation nonetheless. I would have never put that together. Maybe it was just another way for TPTB to link the Tagruato pages with the Slusho 7 so we'd know they weren't fake?

No it's a webcam. Find the first Janie and Teddy video topic and someone even posted a pic of a webcam with a lens cap. Believe its in the beginning of this thread......http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21153


And Rob does not work for Slusho yet as he was doing some crappy marketing for a cat adoption ageency recently and now has to do some for a radio station based on the comments from the myspace pages.

UTI != casual sexual encounters necessarily. UTI's can be caused by: tight-fitting clothing, spermicide, poor hygeine, "holding it" too much, not drinking enough fluids, being pregnant, having diabetes, and wiping back to front. Someone in a monogamous relationship could get one, as could someone who doesn't have sex at all. This theory is weak at best.
