 		nav_backup thoughts
Possible mirror site?
Hey guys and gals,

The existence of nav_backup.jpg has me wondering if there is a possible mirror site to tagruato.jp, sort of like an "insider" version of the site that would be for employees only. The sinister nature of the logo makes me think of the another version of the truth website from the Year Zero ARG.

I have tried a bunch of different stuff to no avail, no maybe I'm just grasping at straws, but there has to be a use for that other logo.

 		the world on the parraffun logo
its the artic circle, at least an image facing down on the north pole, since we can see alot of countries that arent in the artic circle. you can see the top of north america spottable by the hudson bay (in the 7/8 o clock position), along with norway and sweden(in the 4/5 o clock postion)

Ah! That makes sense. Should've known. Embarassed

I guess I'm still wondering though why the logo is so strikingly different and seems to imply a more sinister tone.

We'll find out in time I suppose.

There were several others before, such as alternate pictures of Ganu Yoshida, but they were removed shortly after their discovery.

None of them were that important.

 		I saw that a few had been removed. What's bugging me is how to find them. Short of those listed when you view Source, I'm at a loss. In particular, I'd like to do better than a screen shot of the red earth on the main page and the other b/w background images.

We'll find out in time I suppose.

I was wondering myself why they'd have some of those images there, while being so different from the Flash site. Broadband is taking over the ISP market, so I could see where they could overlook an old non-flash version of the site meant to be a faster load for a dial up user. I think those images and such were meant to be a legacy of a past version of the site. Many fast growing companies don't do a very good job of looking back, and would forget things like this. For us it might represent a small insight to what the company was like before the 'bad times'.

 		Sorry to change gears....
...though perhaps "The Hand of Power" is still around as a shadow company. Okay, anyway, I was thinking about this whole Tagruato corporation, and it's link with Ganu, and, perhaps Noriko, and some questions/thoughts popped up.

I submit, for your consideration (or not) the following (I apologize if they're rambling - it's early and I just want to get them out there):

1) Thinking about the history of Slusho! and the references to "smallest whale", "small fish", "enormous whale" (and I know that kids called Noriko the "smallest whale" because she drank so many beverages), but in investments, people with lots of money are called "whales". I'm thinking that as Noriko kept making new drinks, she accumulated a bit of money. By the time she died (and how DID she actually die? Or did she?), she had to have had some $$ stored away, which went to Ganu, her only son (no husband named at all). When he discovered the DSN and had his dream, he had some money (little fish), but once he started using the DNS in his formulas ("drinking more and more of the secret ingredient"), he became richer and richer, and more and more powerful in the business world, eventually being able to purchase Tagruato Corporation (an "enormous whale"). Thinking of it that way, perhaps we shouldn't take the "whale" thing too literally.

2) Ganu's power and money has more than likely corrupted him. Who really knows how his mother died, except for Ganu himself? Who wrote the history of Slusho!? The history of the Tagruato company? What happened to Kantaro Tagruato and the others? I think Ganu is dirty - I don't trust him. Think about what Vernon Macdooble said -

I'm sure Ganu has had his share of the DNS, but perhaps the amounts affect you in different ways (see number 3 below), and he's had just enough to keep that "conqueror" attitude up to squash any and all competition, no matter what the cost? 1995 seemed to be a banner year for Tagruato, too, as someone else pointed out, with 5 drilling sites opening up at the same time , with 1992 not too far behind, opening 3 drilling sites.

3)What if drinking seven slushos at a time (like they gave the elderly folks at the nursing home) makes you happy, but docile and easily led? Look at how all the workers just RAVE about Tagruato and how happy they are! What if after 7, you become a Slusho! addict?

4) Bold Futura has me intrigued, too, with their ties to the military (not saying whose military) and arms. What kind of arms? The clause about confidentiality is a flag to me, also. What exactly do they develop there? Very, very shady....

5) With a company this large and with so much money, why is their website so lacking? Okay, so maybe because the PMs are feeding us bits, instead of overloading us, but other companies' websites will have "page under construction" or something, instead of having the links do nothing.

I'm done. Glad to get these off of my chest. Comment or not - I've had my say and I feel so much better getting it out there.... Smile

I'm pretty sure it's just a site where this fella Bill displays all his models,

Seemed odd enough...

I'm fairly positive it's nothing important for us, yet I thought it was interesting…

 		Actually...

There's apparently a submarine called "Wadatsumi" in the Terror of MechaGodzilla (1974). You can see a model of it here:

Mid-Atlantic Ridge

They opened it September 2007

have a workforce of 355

and is still in progress

also been mentioned how a big company like that (fictional or not) cannot update a simple website to show its in operation.

maybe having problems already

I did my nightly check of that site earlier and I was wondering the same thing. I decompiled the fash for the drilling map a while back and saw that all the station information is being piped in through an xml file or something like that. Long story short, it would have been super easy to update that, but they didn't..........
