Thats' true -- what are the odds they happened to be on photobucket at the same time.

I hope not...if that is 1-8(teen) art...I don't want to see a minotaur come January Crying or Very sad

Come to think of it, I can see a minotaur in there.

So... Denise's post talking about a minotaur is immediately followed up by something in Jamie's photobucket resembled a minotaur? Something smells fishy here...

Indeed, that'll be telling - IF they want to incorporate someone in the 'real world' with the IG experience.
I know it's possible that the account is still compromised, and we are being messed with by somebody. It's hard to tell what could be happening.

As for the idea that such a relatively simple password was an intentional invitation to hack the account - if it was so perfectly obvious then we'd have seen it broken into long ago. When people guess passwords they tend to guess based on what they think is contextually important to the person making the password. Most here would be thinking "what would Jamie put as her password", which wouldn't get you Paramount. If it were IG I'd expect it to be so contextual too - as was the jamieandteddy.com password. TPTB probably used that password because it was contextual to them, and didn't even consider that we'd bother to try to break it. In the past I used passwords that seemed contextual to me, but nobody ever guessed them. I could've used that to support continuing to use such passwords, but after guessing my way into a few other's computers (at their invitation) I decided the better of it.

If you're suggesting that we were meant to get in to her account--as other posters have suggested--this reasoning doesn't make sense.

"Paramount" is not an in-game password. If the password Dr. Awkward had discovered was "cornbread," then that would be something else entirely. But it wasn't. The PMs--at least as indicated by their choice of passwords--were treating this site as OOG. And therefore it was not meant to be hacked.

All of which leaves me feeling like we either have a pissed off PM screwing with us, or another unfictioneer screwing with us.

if they didnt want people to get into it, they wouldve picked something like cartwheel6543 something that no one would ever have guessed. it may very well be something to play around with us.

Yeah...I mean, granted, nobody in Hollywood is exactly the smartest tool in the shed, let alone some intern or other charged with guarding the viral marketing websites...

...but Paramount is a little too obvious. AT LEAST they could've gone something like "Paramount923A" etc -- using passwords like "Paramount," "JJ," "Abrams," "Lost," or any other such may be OOG in context, but in everyone's mind the connection is there and pretty obvious. I'm sure haxx0rz have probably tried those very passwords before --- and maybe they reduced the security level recently to a cheesy "Paramount" in hopes of fishing for an intrepid pseudo-hacker...(no offense, Doc)

But seriously- If they meant to let folks in, why would they do it with a password that's totally out of game? From a gaming/storytelling perspective, that's just weak. We're supposed to believe in these characters' stories, not think of them as creations of Paramount Studios. They could have chosen an equally easy to guess in-game password--like cornbread.

Man that was funny.

It was like you all were running around tripping over eachother while the puppetmasters shouted, "Dance, monkeys, dance!" Laughing Laughing

So, if this proves the Puppetmasters are watching, allow me to make one simple request:

...the next jamielovesteddy.com video...??? Hot webcam striptease.
C'mon, JJ....push the envelope! Cool

Actually, I doubt they'd give us a password that'd let us do something potentially vulgar. Imagine what sort of things someone could put up on Jamie's Photobucket with such access. They could also trash it in other ways, and would have to be willing for someone to be able to delete the account. The credentials on the account would also be in total jeopardy. This all being the case, I think it unlikely they ever intended to have the account broken into.

I can believe such an inept choice of password could be made. It certainly isn't the first time such a thing has been done.

Exactly, with my experience with photobucket I know that if they would have deleted the pics she linked onto the myspace stuff and then uploaded a pic to the PB account with the same name as the old ones it would be given the same URL. Thus "we" could have put anything we wanted on "their" myspace pages. I doubt they wanted this to happen.
EDIT-"they" in the first sentence being those that changed the pics after it was hacked. Which could have been anyone.

I had suspected that could be done, but didn't know for sure.
Could you imagine the fellatio pics on her MySpace? Maybe some other shock pic? The way breaking this also breaks her MySpace page is another reason I think they never wanted this to happen.
