You are so certain of that in your memory when you couldn't remember a tunnel from a tarp?
Quote:
if it was then why would it be at their feet when they are hugging? does that make sense? lol like someone else said.

What? Would one be holding it up over the other one's shoulder as they think they are about to die?
Now THAT would be vanity!

From the analysis that was done of those clips when they were first put up, there is a tarp in the scene, its pulled up from the ground to block the krieg lights as the scene ends.

There is also a home camera in the scene, kinda. There is a camera man kneeling on the ground holding the camera. It has a shotgun mic attached and is covered by plastic to protect it from the dust. Rob spends the scene w/ one arm out toward it like he's holding it, but the camera man is actually doing the aiming. So, home cam, professional 'amatuer' camera work, and a tarp.

And perhaps filming your possible last moments on earth may be vanity, but by then they may have decided the video record of the events was important..

And face it, anything that had bull-like horns, might get called a minotaur by someone who couldnt quite make out what it was..

A large creature with horns?

Could it be the creature they made up for the American Godzilla movie but never used? Probably not, but still a funny coincidence...

The creature was to be called "The Gryphon". Supposedly it had several smaller versions of itself that would capture creatures (cows, dogs and bats) and people so the Gryphon could absorb their DNA and grow larger.

Well, I have to say:

A) That picture that supposedly looks like a minotaur, to me looks nothing like one. Any chance someone could highlight where they see these horns?

B) Im inclined to believe that the OP is in fact lying, its nothing personal but a few things (to me) don't add up.

1) They appear very unsure, giving rather vague answers and not knowing alot about objects used in movies.
2) The red shirt gag and the phrase "Is that a minotaur?", seem a bit odd. The red shirt gag fits in slightly, but not entirely. As the star trek gag was the main group would take one extra person, who was wearing a red shirt, he died. However, this person was not only with someone else, but wasn't with the main crew, so in that respect it seems out of place. As for the "Is that a minotaur?" comment, it seems very...well odd. Two characters feeling the ground shake, go down the street and see a large creature and the only thing they say is "Is that a minotaur?" without screaming running away or anything, before getting crushed. To me, that seems very out of place, and odd, not to mention, why does no one out of the floods of people running say anything about a minotaur, or horns, or anything.. Now, naturally it could be a red herring, one that JJ put in to throw everyone off.
3) The rest have already been mentioned, so I wont write them again.

Obviously I could be wrong, but its my opinion its a hoax.

I don't buy this either, sorry.

I'm 100% sure that anyone associated with this movie is signing an airtight confidentiality agreement that, like, requires you to give up your first-born child if you leak something. So we're supposed to believe that this person signed one of those agreements, came on here and blabbed AND basically told everyone (including Paramount's legal team) how to find out her real name? AND that after all the effort they are taking to keep this a secret, they would just tell an extra the pertinent details of the movie? And the fact that they "invited" her to come watch another scene in this supposedly top-secret movie where they're concerned about leaks (which, coincidentally, is a scene that had ALREADY been posted by someone else on the net)?? At best (assuming she was an extra) this is just their attempt to throw fans off track with the "minotaur" thing, at worst (assuming she has no relationship to the film at all) its a poorly constructed HOAX.

I wasn't sure if extras had to sign such an NDA, but if they did that would certainly make this 'disclosure' sheer BS or likely stupidity.

Since we are seeing no answers to the last of my questions...
To gain SAG union membership as an extra, you have to have 3 appearances as an extra, or be asked to speak a line (Taft-Hartleyed). Non-union extras are not credited in most cases. SAG extras I am not sure about. To be on IMDB apparently you are supposed to be a credited member of the cast, which an extra would not normally be credited. Using an IMDB listing as a validation of being an extra in a movie is therefore not likely.
If her castmate was asked to speak a line, they'd have to be SAG or end up being Taft-Hartleyed.

Now everyone is going on what's almost certainly a hoax to suggest that the monster is a minotaur.
Lovely.

The amount of BS here is just...staggering.

"Is that a minotaur?" THAT"S the line you're faking? What percentage of movie goers even know what the hell a minotaur IS?!? Next hoax, try to make it at least semi-believable. Rolling Eyes

Meaner than Oregon ants while picking blueberries on a Saturday, I tell ya...

Fortunately, that aggresiveness is focused entirely on fakes, frauds, charlatans and others of the 1-18-08news ilk.

Damn it, you guys!

You scared off the poor girl.

DeniseB, please come back. I apologize for my embittered, jaded colleagues here. I would like to know anything else you have to offer.

And to you guys, she hasn't shown any of the signs of being a Colby clone. No startling revelations here, like most of the gamejackers we've seen. Give her a break.

Just a little info on the process of being an extra.

I've been an extra in three movies: "Patch Adams," "My Fellow Americans," and "Last of the Mohicans" (all of which filmed in my native Asheville, NC).

*In none of those movies did my name appear in the credits.
*In none of those movies was I asked/told to join the SAG. Never have. Only ACTORS join the SAG. EXTRAS are not ACTORS.
*In all of those movies, we extras had access to: a)the specific stage/area we were part of; b)catering and the lunchroom; and c)the restrooms. Other than that, we were NOT allowed anywhere NEAR any other sets or stages. The few extras that *did* try to spy on those areas were fired immediately.

So I'm not calling you an outright liar, DeniseB. I'm just saying that extras do *not* usually enjoy the perks you're describing about SAG membership or "invitations" to "look in" on other scenes.
