I'm guessing they used Photoshop's Clone tool to mask the timestamps
Just to strike another nail in this coffin, here's a direct comparison overlay of 1-18-08 (with timestamp) vs 0-00-00 (sans timestamp), closeup, where you can easily see the usage of a clone tool to mask the timestamp. You should be able to see the duplicated areas and loss of detail without much trouble.

If you're having trouble, look at the dark smudge under the top of the "1" of "1:24A" disappear, and be replaced by a poor copy of the similarly-shaped dark smudge that is above the gap between 2008 and 1:24.A Heck, all the detail under "1:24A" is obviously cloned away.

Thank you for the independent corroboration. I didn't compare that pic, and the differences there are fairly glaring. Someone spent a good bit of time on that masking or is pretty seriously practiced at it, based on my own experiences with Photoshop. I wasn't sure what to think of the site, but as I dug into the images like that it seemed it was likely to be fake. I really wondered how the originals without timestamps might have gotten into the wild, but now there's no need to wonder - because those aren't the originals.

 		yea finally its proved so LOCK this topic or delete it. it was all clear anyway when 1-18-08 was updated n it took 0-00-00 about 2 days to get the new pic on.
