I guess it was a matter of time before hacking entered this game

Anyway I can't remember was the picture entitled cthulhu on hud's myspace? Or is it a clue.

Let's face it, guys: the photobucket pages have been compromised. Nothing reliable can come from there now.

There are a few things I'm thinking about regarding this:

1) If this is NOT a planned hacking, someone at Paramount (or whoever is doing this) seriously needs to get fired and raked over the coals. When you create passwords for these things, (a) expect to get hacked, and (b) don't use the COMPANY NAME.

2) If this is in fact a planned hacking, I expect the characters to react somehow. And that reaction, if anything, will lead to something real. But I think this is a seriously risky approach; having access to a photobucket page allows us to put some very dangerous stuff up there, things that will violate both photobucket terms of service and human decency. That's too great a risk for a company like Paramount.

Based on the options, I'm going with #1.

Also, if it was compromised once, its enough for *someone* to change the password. Somebody's in the control of the photobucket account now, and we have no guarantee that it's JJ's crew.

To me, photobucket is no longer a reliable source for anything. There are too many fingers in that jar.

Someone is going to get fired. It wasn't set up because the password is paramount. It's OOG.

Two solutions, which I think I was the first to state: Dr. Awkward is a PM. If he is this would be awkward.

number 2, he's telling the truth.

I'm struggling because it surprised me that someone was so stupid in this. Not only did they make the password paramount but the same was with Rob's photobucket and they DIDN'T CHANGE IT EITHER!!!

Now someone uploaded a "u got haxed" picture on it. Paramount deserves it.

Oh and by the way, since one of the sculptures on Hud's photobucket is a bird with tentacles named cthulhu, it's either the creators taunting us,

or we won the arg.

And sorry for the multiple posting, but can someone try out some passes on Hud's photobucket, the username is bettsjw.

I'm too nervous to try, and it's not paramount.

And why is it bettsjw?

Guys, i was in the account when the new image file popped. If i did something incredibly stupid by going in and looking around, i apologize. Couldn't resist looking for clues. I went to Rob's recent images, as well as recent videos, and there are a few interesting things, but nothing that would warrant a PM shutting any doors. Call me out if i did F up, but someone left this thing wide open for all to see after the Jaime bucket fiasco.

I'm not expecting a quick response during the weekend anyway. If it were during the week, it wouldn't last minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're "taunting" us (which is why I believe the Lions reference in the Tag pages was put in), but otherwise it might be someone who took advantage of the page access.

For all you know, Hud's photobucket had the same password at some point, *someone* took it over and changed it. It too is no longer reliable.

And, to be honest, I'm still not convinced this is an ARG yet...

there can be no frickin' doubt anymore that they WANT us to hack 'em.

That's an awful long stretch... if it's true why does HUD's not have the same password?

Hud's has no pictures linked directly a photobucket....althought there was one photobucket that was not set on private. there were CG models(crappy) of this bug, the 2headed/2handed guy from his blog and Cthulthu...

let me try to find it, i am pretty sure not his tho..
*edit* found it!

http://s242.photobucket.com/albums/ff118/bettsjw/

Is that Hud's photobucket? Cuz I don't see those in his Photos page. Where did you find "bettsjw?" (The only pic I recognize there is the last one, which appears in Hud's collective comic-strip blog.)

This is the myspace link, provided by Hud in his blog, to the gentleman, Jim, that submitted "Behemoth".

The profile seems scetchy, Tom's his only friend, and his last name has been removed from the page.
When Hud first released this blog Jims last name was present and a google search would provide his website,
which houses many peices, including those on his page as well as a couple in the brettsjw bucket.

Notice the one painting, pollock, in the bucket is his background on his profile page. Wink

At this point, I'm assuming Jim is a real guy...and the bucket belongs to him.
I really wish I could find his webpage.
He speaks of displaying his works in the MOMA on his myspace and if I recall correctly, he also states that on his website.
Do some searchin' and you may be able to relocate it.
I'll keep looking in the mean time.

There is one other option...

/tinfoil hat enabled

...the password WASN'T "paramount", someone hacked it (lord knows people have been trying), and *then* that person changed it to "paramount" to completely screw things up.

/tinfoil hat disabled

Carry on.
