OOG or IG?

From deletia's comments on Cloverfieldclues.com:

Slusho.jp Whois information reveals the name Satoshi Kagashima. If you look up that name on Myspace, you get this account:
http://www.myspace.com/ardoisbonnot.

Here are some facts about the site:

-Ardois-bonnot is a Lovecraft character.
-There is a quote at the page from Albert Pike, who is mentioned as the technical contact for the 1-18-08 site. Albert Pike is an historical figure about whom conspiracy theories abound.
-There's an odd map at the page featuring a map of the Southwest with what looks like a tourist's journey inscribed.
-The map features the numbers 4:22 314.
-There is also a series of 24 5-digit numbers listed in the "about me" space.

Also:

Thanks for pointing that out. It makes sense now. Sort of. It's mileage-- 314-88=226 miles from an arbitrary point south of the Grand Canyon (more or less where 88 is written on the map) to Gallup, where 314 is written. Given the times, the average rate of travel to cover the 226 miles was 81 mph. (Go grade school math....)

If you extend the route out along the highlighted road to 314 miles, which is the point at which the mileage recording started (or at least was zero), you end up near the mouth of a small unnamed road east of the Grand Canyon that leads off of Rt. 64 (Navahopi Rd.) to the base of a ridge that roughly parallels 64.

Hm. If you assume a constant rate of travel (which doesn't make much sense) the trip started from mile zero at 12:30. Which is at least sort of interesting, since that's what time the event occurred.

So, are they onto something, or is this well OOG?

and the winner is, OOG! edit to add tag ~rose

I could've sworn this was found very early on in the ARG with the other myspace accounts and deemed OOG.

My mind might be playing tricks on me however

I would say OOG. The other myspace accounts seem to be mainly for character exposition. And everything proven IG is really consistant. This serves no purpose but to give puzzles and is not a believable part of the game universe. Why would a Slusho employee put up a myspace full of misterious clues aparently related to some company secret?

Oh, and you should Search! All cool kids do it.

And here is Deletia's post from August on this forum suggesting that it is most likely OOG, found by using said Search:

Yeah, but I'm not one of the cool kids. I did search, but I could not find a mention of this MS page.

I would like to point out that the creation date for that account was 7/16/07.

I'm not positive, but I believe this was after we dug up the whois info for 1-18-08.com

So it may be in game, but it's more likely to be someone who made the page after the whois info was posted.

The page isnt new, so maybe we shouldnt just toss it aside just yet.

Something to keep in mind, all the ingame sites are traceable back before anything broke, so going along with that precedent, I would go with OOG.
