 		Tagruato and subsidiaries...
I've only been looking around for a day or so, but what's piqued my interest about the story is this Tagruato Corporation, and how this conglomerate as a whole fits into the creation/awakening of whatever beats up NYC. There'll probably be a lot of stuff written here that's old news to most of you, but if theres anything that I'm missing or have gotten wrong -or even better, anything I've written that makes sounds interesting, contribute by all means.

From what I can tell, Slusho! is more of a PR front than anything else, a means of bringing DSN to the masses in an easily accessible form. While still perhaps giving an insight into the discovery of DSN and its effect, the entire Slusho.jp is sugar-coated to the extreme.

Whatever the desired effect of DSN is by Tagruato Corp., it takes a lot of it. At least six servings.

Seven servings for the old folks. But I can't fathom why they would be of any importance. Suggestions?

I subscribe to the belief that Rob is leaving for Japan to work in the marketing sector of Slusho! to brink it to the states. He's scored his mates Slusho! Merchandise (Some time ago, it seems... The shirt we see Hawk wearing in the trailer looks pretty worn) and a number of them mention drinking Slusho at some point in their Myspace pages.

The problem I'm having is making a tangible link between feeding the entirety of the world this miracle beverage to which noone has anything but praise, and JJ's monster tearing up a city. All these theories on pheremones or whatever attracting the monster lead me back to the same question -- Why did the monster not attack Japan, where the drink is the beverage of choice for ninetysomething percent of the nation? It seems odd to me that whatever is in Jamies box, combined with her contact with Teddy, has a greater attractive power for this creature than the prolonged consumption of DSN by millions of people.

Which brings me to Tagruato Corp. itself. Their primary function is oil drilling, with almost 50% of their offshore workforce manning only 3 out of 13 platforms. The 3 platforms I just mentioned are located around both the north and south poles, in very cold conditions. (http://tagruato.jp/deepsea2.php)

All of Tagruato's subsidiaries seem to be in some way related to the recovery and distribution of DSN, save for ParaFun! I'm interested in how ParaFun! will fit into all of this, at the moment I can only see it forming a segue to another site with more questions.

Anyway, It's tired, and I'm starting to confuse myself. Hope to hear your thoughts this soon.

I also could've sworn we had figured out that it's not the slusho that's provoking the monster but rather the deep sea drilling. Obviously, if the monster is located near New York, and is disturbed, it's not going to swim to Japan to unleash it's fury...
As for Jamie's box there is already a thread on it. Feel free to discuss ideas there.

If this is about paraffun, then it does fit in as I believe someone mentioned in another thread that paraffin wax can be made using a string of particles only found in crude oil, I'll update with a quote in a second.

EDIT: I can't find a quote but I can tell you Paraffin wax has the same elemental makeup (carbon and hydrogen) as such other compounds like methane or ethane. It has a considerably different about of carbon and hydrogen atoms however.

 		There are two drilling posts near the USA. One southeast of Florida, and one which opened in september '07 off the coast of NC. If the monster was disturbed by drilling, NYC isn't exactly a likely first target.

Which is most recent... And you're not listening to what I said.

A monster can only be in one place. If you drill everywhere in the world except for where the monster is, he wont be disturbed. The monster happens to be near New York.

 		Thats exactly what I'm saying. If the monster is Near New York, why is drilling off the coast of Florida going to disturb it?

It...wont... It will just yield more of that "special ingrediant" which we are still unclear of what role it plays in the movie (how relevant it is).
