Actually you realised what everyone else had already discovered and wasted everyone's time and effort. Thanks. Rolling Eyes

Anyone think this might evolve further than the quiz? I'm just thinking that it might go further because it's fairly certain this won't ship till next year. Might be curious to see where they go with it too. Cool

Like I said before the valve staff apparently are watching and manipulating the quiz in response to the public response. There pretty much altering the original so it suits them or screws with their head.

I initially thought that, but the quiz also appears to be random or more accurately, changes the order of the questions depending on your answers. Which makes me think there is a correct set of answers to give and reveal something else. Waiting to see what happens though and if anything changes after a week or two.

IMHO...

I think the humor used in the questions is quite simalar to Douglas Adams's.... you know, the guy who wrote Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Apparently someone at valve is a fan.

Wouldn't surprise me actually, the guys doing the writing for portal used to run a satire/news site called old man murray and they were famed for that kind of stuff.

Just beat portals

There's a Username and Password scrawled on the wall in there. Looked up aperture science homepage it lets you log into admin access.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I've noticed the play command needs a modifier so I tried Play Portal and it opens up a youtube page with a note saying that the owner has removed the video. Thoughts anyone?

Hey wow, good call there! I just finished Portal and all along kept thinking that it would be great if something was hidden in the wall scribblings... and what do ya know... there is!

I can really recommend playing Portal to anyone, it is a superbly original and compelling game, and the last few hours of gameplay are just thrilling.

went to great lengths

They hid the user and pass pretty damned well. It was behind a mess of cameras that you had to move in the hidden room in the companion cube puzzle
it was also filled with love letters and mourning over the companion cube. I think this might also be a keyword later.
