further musings

Actually, I just dug up something in an old book of mine about minotaurs and Bull or oxen gods, and came up with Baal' Moloch... very interesting. Lives in " the Depths" or " sleeps in the earth" described also as mounatinous.enormous and relentless in his viciousness. Reuired scrifice to appease, ...hmmmm....

As far as only one monster theories go, that is based off of JJ's comments at ComicCon when he said he wanted a new monster (not monsters), and that in the teaser people say it instead of them.

just my $.02

But I'd go see that. If it was as funny as the game. Laughing

I'm definitely going to see 1-18-08, as long as nothing between now and then shows me the movie strays from JJ's descriptions.

Okay, you can be the lizard, and I wanna be the wolf. Laughing

Great minds think alike! Ley lines.
I tried to create a map yesterday.

Over on Cloverfield Clues I noted that the placement reminded me of ley lines.

http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/10/tagruato-drilling-is-their-business-and.html

Here's two gifs I created, tell me what you guys think, they're close to ley line "nodes" some lay along ley lines.

I apologize they're cheese ball animated gifs, but wasn't sure how to show it.

Some of the best news I've heard all day.

Guillermo del Toro directing + film adaptation of "At the Mountains of Madness" = WinWin.

Finally...a Cthulhu mythos flick worthy of the big screen!

Ok maybe im just blind, but how are the locations of drilling sites in anyway connected to ley lines. I dont know much about ley lines but I assume on the ley line picture, the lines are the ley lines, yes? And only one drilling station is on one, the rest are in random locations.

That's why I asked

Well, unfortunately, when I saw those points I was reminded of those ley lines things I read a decade ago.

I guess the problem is
1) Would JJ want them to lie on "nodes" exactly
2) Would they lie on "lines" exactly?
3) Is being close good enough, or does it fall under:
4) Human propensity for finding patterns when there are none

So I was just super-posing them and asking what folks thought.

Or perhaps folks would have a different "ley line" map that coincided with the drilling stations.

Sorry, I thought this was the place for speculation, I'm new to this UnFiction stuff, and thought maybe we were onto something since the creator of this thread mentioned ley lines.

My opinion is there a lot of lines on that map, the probablity of a dot being close to a line or even on a line are pretty high.

Not to mention half of them are in the middle of the triangles and the two up top... well you can forget about those having anything to do with the grid.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

Does anyone have the "you lose" sound from The Price is Right available?

I know and or doubt it'll be based on rampage or a movie of the game but a lil interesting thing i read on the rampage game site:

In rampage players take the role of a giant mutated monster(wich you all knew),created by the unscrupulous scum labs orginization(operating under the guise of a soft drink company)<slusho perhaps? Shocked

The players goal is to progress through a series of cities around the globe destroying as much of them as possible in an effort to locate all the other captured monsters.

Just read that awhile ago on their site and figured i'd share...like i say i doubt highly it'll be this(based on rampage) but it's somethin to chat about...me thinks.
