Yeah, I think that interview is what got people thinking she's in the movie. I'll admit it IS suspicious, but here is what I think happened:

Blake Lively was originally cast as Jamie, but then her TV show Gossip Girl got picked up and she had to back out b/c of schedule conflict. Then they had to run out and get the Jamie that we know from the Teddy videos to replace her, a relative unkown who had nothing going on and was free at the time. This is why Jamie - the Jamie we know - doesn't appear in the trailer; I think it's because when that was made she hadn't yet been hired and they (maybe?) had to edit out Blake Lively & replace her with Rob's Awesome girl.

OR

As another alternative, she IS in the movie - we just haven't met her character yet because its a surprise or something. Greg Grunberg's supposedly in the movie too and we haven't seen him, either.

What I'm about 99% sure of is that she's not Rob's Awesome girl or Jamie Lascano, they just don't look like the same person, even accouting for major hair/makeup changes.

I'm not sure just yet. One thing I'm sure of, Blake Lively is not the girl currently playing Jamie in the Jamie/Teddy videos right now.

P.S. I read the interview too and I felt she was being coy (like you said) so it could be her but like it was mentioned eariler, she had to bow out becuase of Gossip Girls.

I made a poll with pics of all three to compare. To be fair, I tried to pick ones that looked most similar to each other (other than myspace Jamie - just used old pics that I had stored).

Like I said before, after looking at all these pics, I am 100% sure that myspace Jamie is NOT blake lively or the rob's awesome girl. They look completely different. Rob's awesome girl *might* be blake lively - they do look similar - but, I'm still not certain.

They are very close, bridge of nose, interior arch of brows, so on. Weight gain/loss attributes for some of the differences. And whos to say a little make-up and such couldn't be in play. I could see Blake being Rob's Awesome girl.

By the by, has anyone noticed the Japanese influence in decorating in the apartment. Perhaps not strictly Japanese, but very Oriental. Hints of Buddhism, bamboo plants, and such.

I'd say that blake lively is not the "rob's awesome chick", based on the fact that blake has a rather significant and prominent mole to the right of her nose. I cant see that on the chick from the trailer. When you look at them closely, you can see there are some differences in facial characteristics.

you dont even need to look closely. its just not the same girl. this is reaching way too far for no reason to even continue debating. they are not the same chick.. at all...

BUT... that doesnt mean blake lively is not in the movie. I don't doubt she was giving a shady answer in that interview but that doesnt mean we HAVE to pin her dead as "robs awesome" girl or jamie lascano... plently of people in new york who will surely be running through the streets away from the monster. possibly she meets the slusho 7 amidst the panic and joins up with them.

and then with teddy hanssen and 11 dollars guy we've got a whole freakin fellowship.

I think she's probably said she doesn't know what he's talking about because, and mind you this is just simple speculation... um... SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT! Why would she deny involvement if she was in it? Wouldn't she want to announce it for some publicity, at the end of the day she's still an actress and she needs to get her name out there. It looks nothing like her, the girl in the trailer is skinnier, eyes are offset from "rob's awesome girl," mole is in a different place, sorry it's not her. You asked why she didn't just deny it: probably because she has never heard of this film, I'm sure she has now after that interview, not to mention that if she was in the movie she's been seen just as much as rob and it'd be undenyable, it'd be like asking Heath Ledger if he had any involvement in Batman, "um, i have no idea what you're talking about." If people are Lively fans they'd want to see this movie if indeed she's in it (which I don't believe she is) so there'd be no reason to deny it. She's not in this film, sorry to pop your bubble.
