I'd like to refer back to a previous suggestion that we should start promoting this movie and potentially a real version of Slusho itself by insisting on calling any frozen soft drink a Slusho. This is actually an old marketing tactic meant to anchor brand identity to a genre of product. It was done with Kleenex (facial tissue) and Q-Tips (cotton swabs). Were we all vendors bent on marketing our product, we might tend to do this anyway. Seeing as most of us emailing to them are trying to pose ourselves as such in an IG way, I'd say it's a good way of 'distributing' Slusho! as much as possible, even if they don't produce a real product to coincide with the IG one.

I think in general we are basically expected to be the legion of experts about this whole movie project when the campaign ramps up and includes a bit more conventional promotion. I just hope our rewards are more than just satisfaction of being 'in the know' if JJ is trying to get us to do some of that legwork for him.

We should attempt to get an actual company like Target, Costco, 7-Eleven, etc. to try and get involved in this and actually call and send in an e-mail.

The Slurpees at 7-Eleven already have rebranded once, so the precedence is set. There's already Fanta fruit flavors, one of which is a banana flavor that is very addictive, as I can attest to. I also already jokingly call it a 'Banana Anime Slusho'.

God, I'm excited for this. I'd buy one of the machines for my bedroom.

Although, to be honest, is 1.18.08 really as big as the Simpsons Movie? I'm not sure if any stores would be interested.

I love your idea Euchre! I'll henceforth refer to slush puppies etc... as slusho's and i agree that i too hope our rewards are more than just satisfaction of being 'in the know! I'm already plugging this film for all im worth!
me: theres this movie and the trailers like this and blah blah blah! and these websites blah blah blah clues blah blah blah!
usual response: whats it called? sounds great?
me: dunno yet!
The dumbstruck expression! the jaw drops! and "What?"
Ive got to say something after that! come on just a title JJ please!! Smile

but wouldnt it be a great marketing opportunity for shops to get involved in? I mean they basically just gotta apply and will be part of the viral campaign, reaching hundreds n thousands of people and maybe even receiving some of the merchandise.

well then again..who wanted to be in a movie in which the SOL's head gets chopped off Laughing ...apart from Mr. Bin Laden Razz

I've wondered since the page was discovered, whether or not the hammer, mitt, and cheese actually meant something, or they are just one of those things that we will see time and time again as an inside joke. ... Nah. They've gotta mean something. Wow.

Great find. Now things are moving.

A few observations:

First, on every other page where the boy and girl appear, the girl is on the RIGHT side of the screen, and the boy is on the LEFT. I noticed this before b/c they seemed to be positioned (on the Home page) right above each set of cups, so I thought maybe it was relevant to whatever code might be hidden in those cups. On this new Distribution page, though, the girl is on the left, and the boy is on the right.

Second, the monkey's shirt doesn't have that weird 'tail' or whatever it was that was spotted on the STORE page.

Third, there was quite a bit of speculation, before, about the Chocolate bot and it's arm (on the Flavor's page) - whether it was 'injured' and/or missing a hand. Now, we see it happily waving it's arm and we can clearly see that it's not chocolate "blood" but that it's just the way it's 'hand' looks.

So, maybe, they're trying to guide us by diffusing some speculation, by answering some questions. Or, this all fits into the master puzzle somehow. Confused

If they're showing us what to ignore, then it might mean that mitten-cheese-hammer don't mean squat. I dunno - that one bot waving at us with the mitten on just seems to be laughing at us. Maybe it's just me. Screwy

i have a feeling the monster could be a tardigrades. personally i think it would be kinda cool rly. these things are microscopic. imagine a gigantic one.

my plot theory

- slusho has the tardigrades in them (secret ingredient)
- humans have been devouring slusho in huge amounts
- something happens with the drilling and either one of these things gets huge or they just band together, like 32453452346236 of them to make a gigantic one.
-.....giant vacuum sweeps them up and its gg Razz

real oppurtunity

Hi everyone,

This week-end I talked about 1-18-08 to a relative of mine, who happens to be a radio animator for a big network here. He was amazed with the concept behind the film and wants me to do a short comment (1 min or less) each week, on how the game is evolving. He will ask the marketing dept of the radio network to contact the film distributors to plan an event on the film release night. We we're speculating about real slusho! events and all since the radio network is big enough to get partnership agreement and such (ans it is affiliated to a convenient store chain). I will keep you informed on any further info on this.

By the way I got this reply, from my message to Slusho!: The original message was received at Fri, 12 Oct 2007 21:40:48 -0400

is that something you've sent to the e-mail then? looks like it. Thanks for posting it.

I can't find anything of significance again on the distribution page. Maybe its another "e-mail an IG e-mail to the e-mail address to try and obtain some clues" kinda thing?

Just tried something along the lines of:

Hello, Let me introduce myself... Blah blah blah. I have so an so experience in marketing (lies) and wish to aid you in promoting your drink in the USA. Please reply with more details and if a interview is needed for you to assess my skills and to decide whether i can be of assistance.

Thank you for your time

Mr I R Willoghby
