A Postcard From Rabbit Email, Continuation? A while back I half-played a game run by an enigmatic rabbit. It appears that the same group may be starting something else. The last time it involved a lot of real-world action in London. This time, who knows?

Hello there
I was sent a postcard from Rabbit and asked to forward it to you.
You can find it at www.apostcardfromrabbit.wordpress.com .
It'd been a while since I'd heard from Rabbit, it may be a while yet still judging by the postmark.
I'm sure Rabbit would want me to wish you all the best, so I'm doing that!

This last game was really fun, with a lot of VERY quick email interaction. I posted this in my excitement before I have emailed this "potsman" as it seems like I'm the first to come here?

Is it possible there's an extra letter in the last word? Probably just my muddled mind, but I wanted to see if anyone else came up with the same solution.
EDIT:
Wait, hang on. It's correct. I emailed in my response and realized it was fine!

I thought the same thing, Mokey.
Here's some advice to those of you trying to solve the puzzle:

Check out the Wikipedia page on the story.

Now I'm a bit lost on the seven lines... Not quite sure what we're supposed to send in.

I always liked that story, so I'm in.
Looks like plenty to this anyway, lots of reading, and it seems like this is just a pre-game to the Masque Of The Red Death (another Poe story I think), or is it 66 Theatre Street (I don't know that ref.)
Mokey, as far as I understand it we solve the puzzles to find the next lines, but we send the urls and the translations (if we can) to get points.
So the first fragment is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I am ever one step ahead of you Grandison
First puzzle answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Captain Kidd, giving the second fragment, translated using the normal Goldbug cipher it is: LBNCNPSBAUILFGPGIPOPVSGPSNLOFPQO (although I'm not sure of the 4th character). It isn't ROT.
Second puzzle answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Place de la Concorde, giving the third fragment, translated it is: OSGLGUAPOFUQFOUAFLHIUOPVHIUOLOF. Not ROT either
Third puzzle answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
inscription, giving the fourth line: OPSUIQFTUFLHIUFFOIVOESFEGLGUAUQPBE
The fourth answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Swammerdamm, and the fifth line translated is: LMFBYFDBRUBLOTHPMEHBLOTUSFUVSO
Fifth puzzle answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
infinity, giving the sixth line: LGAPVBSFNLOFPQOUIFODPEFAPV
Sixth puzzle is 4 rows of 13 letters, which makes me think it's a block cipher. Not got anywhere yet.
I've also noticed the urls correct titles give us another phrase:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this is so curious i r/ead poes story an/d the description o/f the treasure is min/d boggling even al/...

All I can find on the fourth puzzle...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...is information about Robert Hooke, who was a member of the Royal Society and was instructed by Sir Robert Moray to create a series of microscopic drawings for Charles I with the help of Christopher Wren. But nothing I've tried so far works.

I still haven't figured out several of the puzzles, including the fourth one, but isn't Moray this person, referred to on the website?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"We know that this was written by William Moray and given to an intermediary who then found Rupert Grandison the elder. However, the intermediary discovered six other lines of a similar cipher which were forwarded to the elder, which Mr Grandison, my employer, inherited."
He's supposed to be the narrator of the Poe story. Am I missing something?

It could be, although I'm swayed to Robert Moray because of the "pioneer" bit. Not getting me anywhere though.
Also not getting anywhere on the 6th puzzle/ 7th line.
EDIT: Was just looking at the players forum...
strange comment from Jacob M...??
NM, it just looks like he onto the next stage already..
Also I'm hoping Mojo's comment is a wind-up...
EDIT II: For Q4, I've tried
Micrographia
Isaac Newton
Edmund Halley
Christopher Wren
Robert Boyle
John Aubrey
John Graunt
John Locke
Samual Pepys
Anthony van Leeuwenhoek (various spellings)
Theodore Haak
Johannes Hevelius
Robert Moray
John Wilkins
Thomas Tompian
Robert Hooke
Royal Society

I am doing what I did last time: staying mostly out of the mystery and being almost entire dialog-based. Most of it is unimportant, but there are a few bits that may be important.
The Potsman says that it's Potsman and not Pots Man, though also says that Potsman is even a "tiny typo" without elaborating on that. Perhaps that feels too important to me.
Attention was drawn to Jorge's "Poultry and Rabbit Inspector" bit. The Potsman claimed that Jorge knew the Rabbit personally then and the addition of Rabbit was a reference to our own beloved Rabbit.
I asked about the damaged stamp and The Potsman claimed that it looked like a peephole to them. Judging by the style of conversation I had with The Rabbit, there will be a lot of important hints mixed in with just randomness, so the specificness in that mention isn't necessarily important.
Actually, most of this is probably unimportant, but there it is.
The Potsman also said that they are not worried about the Rabbit, as they have a history of disappearing down rabbit holes for a while. I take that to mean that the Rabbit is not the one in trouble this time.
Have we found an actual long-term plot or is it just puzzles that feel like they are leading to one? I'm not paying extremely close attention to the puzzle front.

.
I would guess at Postman for the typo. Is the "Poultry and Rabbit Inspector" a translation? and what damaged stamp? they all look OK to me?
The other pages in the Goldbug indicate this is only the start and there is further aspects to the story.
BTW on the puzzles I feel like I'm overthinking the remaining two, the others were all quite straightforward...

Apologies for the double post, however I found the fifth line, however not by solving the puzzle - I used the url phrase to find it. I will update above.
EDIT: still can't get anywhere with the last puzzle, or cracking the other lines of code I'm hoping someone a bit better at crypto is playing this one...
EDIT 2: Is anyone else playing this? Cos we really need someone who is good at cracking simple sub ciphers. I'm getting nothing ..apart from a sore head.
EDIT 3: OK so I'm playing on my own here, but just in case anyone out there is listening still... I've cracked the code for the other lines it's
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
almost a ROT-25 of the normal Goldbug code, there's a few letters changed but you can probably work it out.
I AM B MORAY THIEF OF HONOUR FOR MINE OWN
NR FIFTY ONE TWENTY EIGHT NOUGHT NINE
NORTHWEST EIGHTEEN HUNDRED FIFTY TWO AD
I LEAVE CAPTAINS GOLD GAINST RETURN
IF YOU ARE MINE OWN THEN CODE YOU
HOLD EIGHT PIECES TO THE CLEF
. Yeah makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
Now I just need to crack the last puzzle.
EDIT 4: Made an error on line 5, now fixed (16.10)
EDIT 5: Added the last line after another player provided it.
