The spaces are due to the way your browser is rendering them. I can't post how it should read, as this board munges up the formating too. View the source of the FTR page to see it, they are all 150 character width lines. the spaces are inserted by the browser at the end of those lines.
I swear, this code is going to drive me crazy...

Enaxor-We (myself and a group from uni) did notice the number thing. Its along with the spacing of the G's and G/'s are what tipped us off into breaking it into groups of 4.
Justin_Case-Its not B64 (we analysised that), The Spaces are for formating only. The jcxez group, the lower case a's and the lower case g were some of the keys that we used to eliminate some of the early theories they annoyed us for so long.....Its a beitifuly created system....lots of theories come close....but fall down because of just a 2 or 3 exceptions.....but the one I posted above so far we can find no flaw with......now to figure out how to use that theory.

Yeah I had a theory, but WK's is a more specific version of that theory. the question is what to do from here? how many unique groups etc...

What if this is just supposed to be a first calling card that not ment to be solved? (like in Project MU).....Or a key for a later puzzle.....
RedKnight(What i'm going to call my mate that figured this out ) is working on a theory he's just recently had and three main others (Merlin, Jester and Princess) are working on RedKnight's new info as well.

following the link dashcat posted there is another similar code that is unsolved also:

Yeah theory still holds true for this one too so The Knights Team is on to something.....
I'll take this New bit of code in on (MY) monday.....but probably won't get anything till (MY) tuesday.....
My theory I'm working on is that there is a 2nd overlying pattern......Red is working on his Key/Code theory......Princess is driving her self nuts (She's looking for common letter groups, and their positions and any comminalities of frequency placement or something I didn't realy understand what she was on about).....I haven't heard from Merlin or any of the rest so god knows what they're working on..... This new Code will be helpful for any of these theories.......
So The Knights will keep up there attempts.

Just Exceled it up......The RedKnight 4's letter placment Theory is definitaly still solid with the new code.....

I looked at what letter appear and which don't, its down by hand so no guarantee its exactly right:
Code:
second code
1 ABCD
2 EFGH
3 IJKL
4 _N_P
5 QRST
6 UVWX
7 YZab
8 cdef
9 ghij
10 _l_n
11 _p_r
12 _t_v
13 _x_z
14 _1_3
15 _5_7
16 _9_/
first code
1 ABCD
2 EFGH
3 IJKL
4 MNOP
5 QRST
6 UVWX
7 _Zab
8 cdef
9 gh_j
10 _l_n
11 _p_r
12 _t_v
13 _x_z
14 _1_3
15 _5_7
16 _9_/
there seems to be consistence in letters missing from k onwards. which to me implies that they are not needed, however 9 does appear which is kinda bad because the last line isn't complete, so i expect it would be discarded, but it's not
[edit] the numbers down the side mean nothing [/edit]
[edit] talking to white knight he said that _/ would be after the 9, which fits. it make some of my above comments unecessary[/edit]

I didn't see this posted elsewhere, so I'll put it here.
Based on the frequency distribution, a simple, monoalphabetic substitution seems indicated. With 48 unique characters, it's probably case sensitive and the punctuation was probably substituted as well.
Here is the frequency analysis:
Code:
Character Frequency Sequence
X ASC Freq |X ASC Freq |X ASC Freq |X ASC Freq |X ASC Freq
E 69 142 |G 71 129 |C 67 83 |A 65 75 |W 87 50
U 85 50 |R 82 47 |b 98 39 |f 102 37 |Z 90 36
d 100 35 |T 84 33 |n 110 24 |l 108 23 |p 112 22
X 88 22 |V 86 21 |Q 81 21 |P 80 21 |N 78 20
D 68 20 |h 104 18 |K 75 18 |S 83 17 |j 106 16
1 49 16 |/ 47 16 |I 73 14 |3 51 14 |9 57 12
v 118 11 |t 116 11 |L 76 11 |J 74 11 |H 72 11
B 66 11 |7 55 11 |r 114 10 |z 122 9 |F 70 9
5 53 7 |x 120 6 |a 97 5 |O 79 2 |g 103 1
e 101 1 |c 99 1 |M 77 1

umm. i don't quite get what you mean? how does this fit with the pattern?

Bill I understand what you mean.......but have my doubts.....
If it is true it would mean.....along with red's 4's pattern (which does hold true).....then the message would only be made of certain words (Limited a bunch) because of the fact the each letter has to be out by 3 plus a multiple of 4......and only certian messaged would be able to be coded....
Note: If you cant follow what I'm saying I'll clear it up to "Bill.... I and my team doesn't think so but you continue with your theory"

frequency analysis keeping the order of how they are grouped
Code:
second code
1 A 83 B 14 C 79 D 11
2 E 91 F 15 G 98 H 14
3 I 17 J 3 K 9 L 5
4 _ N 26 _ P 22
5 Q 15 R 32 S 14 T 28
6 U 36 V 12 W 42 X 11
7 Y 3 Z 28 a 3 b 27
8 c 6 d 30 e 6 f 28
9 g 3 h 14 i 3 j 17
10 _ l 14 _ n 18
11 _ p 20 _ r 22
12 _ t 6 _ v 7
13 _ x 9 _ z 8
14 _ 1 9 _ 3 12
15 _ 5 15 _ 7
16 _ 9 7 _ / 10
first code
1 A 75 B 11 C 83 D 20
2 E 142 F 9 G 129 H 11
3 I 14 J 11 K 18 L 11
4 M 1 N 20 O 2 P 21
5 Q 21 R 47 S 17 T 33
6 U 50 V 21 W 50 X 22
7 _ Z 36 a 5 b 39
8 c 1 d 35 e 1 f 37
9 g 1 h 18 _ j 16
10 _ l 23 _ n 24
11 _ p 22 _ r 10
12 _ t 11 _ v 11
13 _ x 6 _ z 9
14 _ 1 16 _ 3 14
15 _ 5 7 _ 7 11
16 _ 9 12 _ / 16
if you look at the first and third column or second and fourth you can see that the distributions closely match. to me that's saying 'A' and 'C' are probably the same thing as are 'l' & 'n' etc.. this would mean that the code is paired but there are two ' symbols' for each character so "Al" would be equal to "Cn". intially there was about 72 unique pairs, however with this new idea it could be reduced to 36, which is fairly resonable.

interesting....
Now THIS i think goes somewhere.....i'll have to check this out.....its compatable with the patterns so far.....lets see what we get....

Spoiler: These two codes were solved on the Hunt forum.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You can decode using XOFT, found here: http://makcoder.sourceforge.net/demo/ using the keyword 'ats' for both ciphers. Make sure to remove any spaces in the text
The solutions can be read here: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread52801/pg1

Oh man we we're going to work on solving this tomorrow.....
How the hell did they decode it....It seems they just try repeated differant combinations for keywords and decoding applets.....thats seems stupid and no fun....thats just using java applets for your decoding.....you should have to use your head and decode.....
This suddenly seems dumb now that i look at how you have to go about solving it....
So me and the Knight team (RedKnight, RedQueen, Bishop, myself etc) are waving this goodbye and waiting for the next ARG to start up......
