I dunno...I see no reason for the PMs to add Beth's comment about making that pic UNLESS it was in-game...so I'm sure there's something to it.

Maybe it points to another of Lil's pics -- the one of barefoot Lil in the hotel hallway with the dog. That's Beth's demon dog (evil-looking scruffy thing...ugh), and I'm pretty sure that's the Marriott in Budapest.

So...is the dog significant? Is it a vector, carrying DSN disease or whatever? I'd say it's a long shot, if it wasn't for the fact that Lil references another dog in Hawk's pics ("I never noticed Griff's foot in the corner! I miss him.")

If anyone needed proof that it is Budapest, I found this photo doing a GIS on Budapest Chain Bridge:

The shot is of the Marriot hotel... I wonder if that is where the interior shot was done (her and the dog in the hotel hallway)?

This also leads me to wonder about the first pic in Lil's folder, could it be another clue?

Hey guys, is it just me, or to the left of Lil in the parka photo's, scratched in the hand rail are the letters KBYR. googled them, and it's the call letters for a radio station in...... ALASKA!!!! Beautiful Lil is MacDooble!!!!!

could be the booze, i'll shut up now....... still crushing on her though, even if she is the ravager of worlds.

I hate having to quote myself, but something caught my eye in Lil's blog. Notice what she's reading in her June post. It's called The Myth of Sanity, by Martha Stout. In it she discusses certain reactions to people being abused/afraid or hurt in the early stages of life, and how they cope with those memories. One of the coping methods she mentions is a person taking on DUAL personalities. I'm following up on my earlier comment, and stating for the record, that i think Lil is MacDooble. And maybe the restaurant reviews are her trying her hand at writing, or trying to work through something in the back of her mind. Something sinister, perhaps. She tries very hard to present herself as someone she may not be.

Marlena's definitely got the whole 'changing identity' thing going on in her myspace pics, but there's nothing to suggest that Lena or Lily are into food in a major way, or writing reviews/articles of restaurants. I mean, nothing. Nada. Zippo.

The Marlena pics could just mean she's "two faced", i.e., a betrayer (in some way). Something to do with Jamie (& Teddy) maybe?

Still, I see what you mean about the scratched lettering on the bridge - I definitely see the "B", but the other letters (if there are other letters) are up for grabs.

There is just something so off about her. I can't put my finger on it. Feel like Mike Myers, wanna propose to her and run screaming from her at the same time.

Laughing Lena or Jamie (or Lily)? But, don't say Lily - how could you get any weird vibe from sweet, beautiful Lily?

Lil, she's got this whole wholesome thing going on one minute, then she looks like Lilith the vampire queen the next.

[edit] I just totally zoned out and thought about the name Lilith, don't know why i came up with it, but take a look at this, courtesy of wikipedia.....
Lamashtu (Sumer Dimme) was a very similar Mesopotamian demon to Lilitu and Lilith seems to have inherited many of Lamashtu's myths.[21] She was considered a demi-goddess and daughter of Anu, the sky god.[22] Many incantations against her mention her status as a daughter of heaven and exercising her free will over infants. This makes her different from the rest of the demons in Mesopotamia. Unlike her demonic peers, Lamashtu was not instructed by the gods to do her malevolence, she did it on her own accord. She was said to seduce men, harm pregnant women, mothers, and neonates, kill foliage, drink blood, and was a cause of disease, sickness, and death. Some incantations describe her as "seven witches".[23] The space between her legs is as a scorpion, corresponding to the astrological sign of Scorpio. (Scorpio rules the genitals & sex organs.) Her head is that of a lion, she has Anzu bird feet like Lilitu and is lion headed, her breasts are suckled by a pig and a dog, and she rides the back of a donkey.[24]

I only see about three things that have been reoccurring themes here on the forum, anyone else think this is worth following through?

It's that crazy pic. in the hotel hallway, right? Come to think of it, if the bridge photo was doctored in some way, why couldn't that one have been tampered with as well?

One curious note: in looking for things to figure out or piece together about the myspace characters, one was PETS. Jamie mentions a cat named Bob; there's the "Griff" ref. (the dog's foot in Hawk's photo, that Lily comments about); Rob wants a pet; Beth mentions a pet, but I can't remember what it was off the top of my head.

I mention this b/c in that demon-eyed Lily, hotel-hallway pic., it looks like Lily is holding that same lil' "Ewok" that Beth is holding in her now-profile-pic. Since Beth said she took the bridge-photo, maybe the hotel is in Budapest, and that hallway pic. was taken on the same trip (when Beth supposedly took that bridge photo).

I dunno, though - tired... Drool

Me too, but just for the record. Lil, and maybe Beth to a certain degree, are wearing the black hat's. Ganu is wearing a white hat, and Rob is getting played for a fool. Lil's using Jason for something, and most of them are in the same apartment complex.(Very Rosemaries Baby) Coffee

Actually, rather than attributing the doubles theory to *just* Lil, or Marlena for that matter...I'm inclined to apply it to ALL the Slusho 7.

I really believe this movie will turn out to have alternate storylines...multiple storylines telling about the attack, but with widely varying insights based on who's "telling" the story.

I think that may well include physical differences -- subtle and not-so-subtle -- between the actors and their roles.

In other words, we might start with 20 minutes' worth of Rob's view of the attack, pretty much the Trailer plus some added stuff. Then the movie subtly switches, and pretty soon we realize we're watching the same story again -- only this time it will be from, say, Jamie's standpoint, and will contain subtle differences from the Rob Version....then we'll see a Lil version...and so on.

Think "Rashomon," Akira Kurosawa's masterpiece. It's the same story, told very differently by several characters. Half of the movies and books referenced on the Myspace pages -- particularly in Rob and Lil and Hud's lists -- feature the same plot twists.

And I'm pretty damn sure "1-18-08" will do the same.

You are a fine specimen of a human being, and if i could, i would buy you a Slusho!
It's all about the perspective! Our perspective to the photo's, someone mentioned the fact that we were Teddy Hanssen, and watching Jaime from his perspective, a film from seven different perspectives possibly.
I found the description of Symbolic Behavior Perspective kind of fascinating. Probably has nothing to do with this, but i wiki'd perspective, and 7, and it's at the top. Could be just another dead end trail, but i find that i'm learning some great new stuff every time i log in to this forum.

Now i'm wondering how the Symbolic Behavior Perspective would perform with a subtle shift from the Deep Sea Nectar.

That was an interesting find about The Myth of Sanity, Hurley...I didn't know about that one, either. But yeah, it reinforces the split/multiple personalities/ alternate storylines idea...

...another interesting book on Lil's shelf is "The Tipping Point." I've never read it, but there's an interesting Wiki about it -- it's all about how small things lead to huge changes, and how certain ambitious people (Ganu Yoshida?) actively seek to instigate that global change.

And interestingly enough, it applies mainly to the field of marketing.

I read "The Tipping point" many years ago - it's a very interesting book. It's basically about applying epidemiological models to marketing trends, and cultural/informational 'systems.' It's closely related to Memetics (Richard Dawkins' theory of "Memes", Daniel Dennet, Susan Blackmore, etc.). It's also got great summaries of a lot of really cool sociological experiments, e.g., the experiment that gave us the expression "six degrees of separation", and the "Rule of 150" which is also very interesting. None of it seems directly related to our stuff - what we've seen so far. But, you never know.

EDIT: The term "Tipping point" refers to the point at which a virus becomes an epidemic - when it goes from a slow spread to an 'explosion' in the population.

So maybe the whole movie is based on a chain of events that people have misinterpreted. An accidental explosion in downtown New York triggers a panic, a rescue aircraft hits the Statue of Liberty, bouncing her head down the street, and all of the sudden everyone is so scared and paranoid, that every shadow and movement in the smoke becomes a "monster"

I know, I re-read it, and it's SOOOO not what we're dealing with here, but i wonder if i can copyright this idea. You guys are my witness, if this sucker shows up on a screen in the next five years, we are all going to make some fat cash.

this is actually more about lil's comment n jason's albulm of "griff's" dog foot in his 1st pic. i know there was also some speculation about what the animal above the praying skeletons on rob's t-shirt in jason's albulm. i have a tshirt with the same pattern and they look like griffins.... possible clue? (hopefully not a monster clue but maybe something else..?)
