Why do you think one of them is Lena? I mean, both girls in that picture have brown eyes, right?

Although it is hard to tell who they are. I think its very clear they are not the same person. Not only does it not look like it. But what purpose would splicing the image have?

1) The eye shape is different
2) The mouth (when put next to each other) is off center
3) The nose (When put next to each other) is off center
4) The girl on the right has a rounder face.
5) Skin tones are different
6) Hair is the same color, but different texture.
7) Girl on the left has thicker eyebrows

And the list goes on


As for who they are. Im pretty sure that they are both of the slusho 7, and the girl on the right is lil. And im also pretty sure the girl on the left is Marlena.

even if they did "splice" the same person into the same picture. I cannot ascertain why on earth they would. Theres nothing to be gained from spending time n money doing something like that.

as someone who could recognize lizzy caplan prior to my interest in cloverfield.. i must say that when I first saw that picture my only thought was that the one on the left was lizzy and the one on the right was someone else..

it was only later after visiting these boards a few months ago that I realized this was up for debate.. I agree the splicing is eerie, but I think my first instinct is pretty convincing for me..but it's very hard to prove a matter of gut instinct to someone else.. (although I would suggest that a lot of visually talented people have made some pretty convincing arguments that these are not the same faces as well)

hmghosthoost is obviously a troll, and if you don't already know the rule about trolls, it is:

So let's ignore all discussion about both women in the picture being the same one. Ok. Done.

Now, can someone tell me why do so many people think the one on the left is Marlena?



Picture lady has brown eyes and her nose points sligthly upwards (and yes, I know she's looking upwards, but besides that). Marlena has Blue eyes and her noise points down.

Its true there are differences, but I guess the general look is similar. Particularly when you put it next to one with Marlena with brown hair.

But it could not be, might be Beth (though honestly it doesn't look like her) or someone else.

You can see her eyes do look slightly brown, with darker lighting like in the picture we are discussing it is possible that Marlena's eyes would appear brown. The Hair is also very similar. The nose, however, is not.[/url]

Obviously they are different women, which makes the fact that they line up so well in a splice probably more than a mere coincidence.

One insinuation here might be a multi-head or multi-face (janus) creature. This would also support the distinct roars theory.

That makes more sense. And watching the trailer carefully Lena's hairstyle does matches the one in the picture.

But the picture is not that moment. In the picture the makeup of the girls is already ruined. They're dirty and had been crying. In the trailer they have just left the happy party.

I still don't think is her, but now I'm not sure. So I guess is another unanswered question in the long cloverfield list of questions...

I mean there's crying makeup on the 1-18-08.com picture. Specially on Lil. But on the trailer there's no crying, specially on Lil. Both girls are still clean.

See? Trailer=Lil not crying Picture=Lil Crying. So either Lil is not the girl in the picture (unlikely) or the picture is not the same moment as the trailer. If it's not the same moment, it lowers the chance of the girl in the left being Marlena (that, or the theory about multiple actors gets stronger)
