disoriented newbie

As a newbie, I'm not sure what to make of what I've seen in Aware so far. Maybe this group can help.

I followed the link to the Aware trailhead and took a look. I read the article about TOBI. I then started looking at the Amboy Monthly archives. The next oldest article was full of typos and/or bad writing:

The couple who died in the accident apparently had no last name.

"two of its most cherished citizen"

"The area in road has been"

"The couple was survived by their only son Jude, 29, who is unavailable for comment due to the grieving of his loved one"

All of these leave me wondering if the errors are clues or PM mistakes. Am I supposed to believe that this was written by a professional journalist, or is the journalist trying to send a message?

Blogs and newspaper articles continue to show up, but the unfiction site lists Aware as "coming soon". Has the game started?

I can't speak to Melody's journalistic abiities, but A. no we are still in pregame, and B. Go to this page http://deaddrop.us/awareguide/index.php/Main_Page and it will completely fill you in on what we have up to now. definitely start with the Getting Started section about halfway down the page.

The game is in pre-game now, but it is very active. You should try to begin now if you can.

What distinguishes the pregame from the game, then?

Usually, pregame is meant to drum up support and players for the game. It's sort of like an extended trailer for the ARG. What exactly is the difference between what happens in the pregame and the game? From what I've seen, it depends on the ARG.
