So let me try to understand: some of you think that Jamie contacted her boyfriend via webcam while her lover from the night before was still in bed with her? And visible from the camera?

And, again, I ask, didn't the people at the party seem wealthier and more sophisticated than this? I mean that apartment in the trailer is amazing. It just doesn't go with the low quality website and videos from Jamie. They seem like two different worlds.

Not to mention, blatant audience pandering with Jamie's low cut shirt and calling in from bed. No question who the target audience of this movie is there? But there is nothing wrong with that.

I'm still sticking with my reasoning that ol chinstrap is a member of some Greenpeace-type organisation. Teddy being out on the Rainbow Warrior, or some close facsimile, would explain a lot. The delays at the drilling platform, (it should be open). Teddy going at a moments notice. Saving the world, unless Teddy outright told Jaime that that is what he does, If someone told me they worked for a corporation, first thing i'd think would be bitch-puppet for the man. If someone told me Greenpeace, i'd have much respect, it is a save the world type calling.

Um, a few things about these speculations of where Teddy is...
Where would he buy a present and wrapping paper and such on a drilling platform in the middle of the Atlantic? How often and well does mail and shipping service work from out there?
Would you watch videos on the internet on a company provided and almost certainly filtered, monitored, and regulated internet connection? You can't just hook up to some local DSL or cable or hop in the neighbor's wireless out there.
How would you get a cell signal? Do satellite phones support texting, and would you want to pay that bill even if they do?
As for the time being disclosed by Jaime's reference to the time where he is vs where she is - I have fairly intelligent friends that can't do a simple time shift from east to west coast correctly, and she's supposed to be a ditz.

I find it more likely he's in Japan, where cell and internet access would be way easier. If Jaime did manage to get the time at all right that'd place him in Europe maybe, but then where and why?

i don't think she meant that she literally didn't understand what he was doing. I think she couldn't understand why he had to go so badly, I'm for the Greenpeace thing against Chuai, that's why they haven't posted that it's opened, Greenpeace halted production on it and had to make them put back their open date. Also when someone says following their dreams they rarely refer to cash.
