[INFO][SPEC] I think I found the "bloop" monster
I found a creature called "The Monster"

I did a search for deep sea crab fossil and found "The Monster".
I think this could be a good tie in to "bloop".
This is from U.C. Berkeley.
The first pic is a bit familiar but the 8th pic is "The Monster", this is their term not mine.

It's a cool lookin' beast, but our monster has to get out of the water at some point, and make it's way uptown. That "Monster" doesn't look like it could do anything out of water. Just my opinion. It is cool though.

(assuming I'm looking at the right one - it's the one jumping out of the water w/something else in its mount, right?)

I found this: http://www.bluereefaquarium.co.uk/news-from-newquay/rare-deep-sea-crab.htm

a little further down, linked from Sonckrinde's post. The mutation point they make is that somehow the genes got "screwey" and instead of repairing a damaged or missing limb, it grew an extra one.

This appears to be inherent in a lot of crab species.

I did try to search on any related post, but found nothing.
