I cannot speak for everyone, but if Tagruato does not link to it, I can only assume that it is OOG.
There are various other smaller giveaways, but this seems to be the most important.

what exactly are the give aways? the spelling and that there is no link, is the only thing i can think of at the moment

they fixed the spelling error

There is also a mix up with the dates, something about their copyright predates the date they were created according to Tagruato's website.

Nooneimportant77 read carefully my posts about the dates and you'll see what we are talking about with dates disagreeing.

If you also note, we've not seen site updates on the weekends. I find it very interesting that the spelling was corrected in a fairly short time after it was noticed here.
Someone who is running that site, is watching this. From what we know of the Photobucket debacle, the official PMs don't work weekends.

Now let's see if they find a way to correct the 'initiatives' being all past projects that have absolutely no documentation of any 'Bold Futura' being involved. None of the official sites so far has pointed to such a real world thing in such a way. The fact that they are all 'initiatives' to come is also a bit wrong, as you'll find initiatives are about future ventures, not past projects by others. To wit:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initiative_%28enterprise%29

Abrams should clarify

The Robot reminds me of the MS Word Office Assistant.

I also believe this site to be OOG due to the many reasons already stated, but since its such a well designed site and dosen't link to any fan sites, there are going to be folks who are convinced its IG (Ethan Haas anyone?)

I wonder if Abrams will feel the need to clarify this is OOG like he did with Ethan Haas back in mid-July. If so, he may drop a hint or two about other IG stuff still not found.

P.S. the creators of this site are obviously reading these boards (and possibly posting) note the corrected spelling after it was pointed out in an earlier post.

I'm sorry to say it and I seriously don't mean to offend anyone (and believe it or not I never write anything with the INTENT of offending), but I just think you guys are far too picky and are over-ANALyzing the life out of this thing. I fear that everyone is setting themselves up so that no matter how good the movie is it will never live up to what everyone has hyped it to be. And that really makes me sad because Paramount is really cool for doing this for us and I can just see everyone poo-pooing it when it finally comes out. I just don't understand why people have to be that way. It's not right.

Oh well, It's just a game. I'm going to enjoy it for what it is even if everyone dumps all over it.

I meant the Slusho site.

Well, you may not have that intention, but you do get that result. It may have to do with the fact that generally people do not like being called anal and nazi.

I haven't seen any evidence that "proves" it is real, but there is a lot of evidence that it is NOT real.

  • boldfutura.jp didn't exist when the Tagruato website was launched. Actually, I would have bought it, but .JP domains are $99/year.
  • Tagruato.jp was launched September 29. This domain was registered on October 16th - 17 days later. For comparison, JamieAndTeddy.com was created on August 27 - BEFORE the name Teddy Hanssen was revealed on Jamie's MySpace page on August 31.
  • The WhoIs info doesn't match any of the other sites.
  • Tagruato logo is not used anywhere.
  • There was a spelling error on the front page! It said "LASTEST PROJECTS" instead of "LATEST PROJECTS" (either they are watching this forum or they emailed me about this), AND they fixed it on the weekend?!?!
  • WTF escalators?
  • There is no "new" information. It looks like everything was copied word-for-word off the Tagruato website, except for the stuff about...
  • Nakamura Group? They haven't done anything with Paraffun yet, or even finished Tagruato's site, but they are introducing another new company?!?
  • The biggest reason: there is no link to it from the Tagruato website. There is a Bold Futura subsidiary page there, but the link doesn't point to BoldFutura.jp

Does everyone here have a set of rules for the PM's that must be abided by? Perhaps Paramount is not aware of your rules for governing their game, and this is why the new site doesn't have what everyone demands.

Shame on you, Paramount! Bad puppy!! You aren't allowed to do this YOUR way! Who do you think you are?

I know, heaven forbid Paramount from marketing a movie the way they want to market it without the approval of the UnFiction nerds. Paramount could have easily tossed a bunch of marketing dollars the way of this movie and left all of your Warcraft and Dungeons & Dragons nerds in the depths of your moms basements. Instead, they took the time to do something cool and create an interactive marketing experience.

But, apparently they forgot to check with UnFiction about what they should do and how they should do it. The multi-million dollar corporation didn't check with dinky little UnFiction. Whoops! I guess they didn't realize that the world revolves around a collective of nerds talking smack online.

News flash: Paramount can, and will, do what they want. It's not up to UnFiction. You guys should be happy enough that they went along with your little ARG world instead of flooding the airwaves with commercials. They're the ones taking the chance of relying on nerd hype versus proven marketing strategies.

Good job in biting the hand that feeds you, guys.

How is figuring out if a site is genuine or not 'dumping all over' this ARG-ish viral promotion? Why are you so defensive about us looking into the details of the site and pointing out the weak points?
Analysis is a key part of any ARG. How does anyone ever figure out any clues to any of these CFs?

I don't see at all how working out what's fake and real, and speculating on what the real info is hinting to, is going to make it so this movie 'doesn't live up to' the 'hype'. The more I find that there's mystery around the movie, the better I expect it will be. How in fact can we lose? If any of our speculations and theories are right, we'll have the satisfaction of having 'figured it out'. If they aren't, we'll have some amazing surprises in store. Either way, sounds like fun to me.

Unless of course it's a Bratz movie.

So, acording to you guys, we should had spent a month following Rob's replies to Colby Rook and drawing our conclusions from those 'mails'?

No, I'm saying you guys should go with the flow and chill out. It's a marketing campaign that doubles as somewhat of a game. The Pacific Ocean isn't going to part and squirt blood and Mount Fuji isn't going to erupt if a website ends up not being part of the "game." You'll just have to wait until the next part comes out and enjoy it for what it's worth.

Seriously, you guys need to get some fresh air and a few new hobbies.
